Uncle Brian has 39 years of experience in the Home Improvement Industry and has completed thousands of jobs -leaving many customers not only satisfied, but feeling they received more than they were promised. Treating Clients as I would want to be treated is my philosophy in business and life in general. I have undertaken projects in various aspects of the Home Improvement business and specialize in Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling, as well as the Installation of Interior and Exterior Doors. My strengths include (1) Finding Real Value and completing jobs with quality materials at a price I would be willing to pay! (2) Our slogan is "Getting it Done Right -the First Time" and this is the principle I use to bring Real Value to Each new Client. (3) I rarely ask for money upfront -unless I'm ordering Special Order Materials. (3) Simply stated, I enjoy making peoples' dreams a reality and making the process more of a pleasure than a hassle. (4) I come prepared to get your project complete with the experience and equipment necessary to get your project done right - the first time! I'm equipped to handle small to midsize projects that require Quality Results. Our specialties are Kitchen & Bathroom Remodels and Window & Door Installations. Each year we receive hundreds of requests for quotes that don't fall within our specialties. We provide free estimates for well over 100 projects per year, but we do not give free estimates to everyone that calls - for the following 4 reasons: 1. When our calendar is closed, we do not estimate new jobs. 2. We only supply free estimates to folks in our service area. 3. We decide which jobs to quote based on our prior commitments, manpower, and experience, among other things. 4. Our minimum labor for free estimates is $5,000. We Don't Work On RENTAL Properties, but if you're a landlord, we'd be happy to work on your primary residence. Due to federal regulations (EPA), we don't work on houses older than 1970. Thanks, Uncle Brian

"We hired Uncle Brian for two master bathroom remodeling projects. They are both beautiful, functional, and within budget, despite my lofty ideas. He gave us great advice, helped us with decision making ,and created bathrooms that look like they're out of a home magazine, but without the price tag. He is absolutely the best contractor we've ever worked with. Brian and his crew do thorough, excellent work and they clean up after themselves. Brian is very responsive with communications. He is transparent, honest, extremely hard working, and will be the first person we call for our next remodeling project."

"Terrible company, garden window was never installed properly. I submitted pictures to the manufacturer, and they indicated that the company failed to use the supplied brackets. failed to support the window adequately or accurately, and as a result their manufacturer warranty will not be honored. Contacted the company in May 1st and they agreed to send have their service department contact me. Never heard back so two months later, I emailed them the response from the manufacturer. They finally called today, and said that lead warranty representative was unqualified to evaluate the problem. They only warranty their work for 2 years, and now claimed that I was told it would be $125 for them to come out. They never made that offer. Family members with the same name and similar business have indicated that they are obnoxious to deal with. The give the owner the nickname of Nick the Pr**k. Stay far, far away. Terrible company."

Interstate Roofing offers a full line of roofing products for both residential and commercial applications. Specializing in insurance restoration we have successfully completed over 24,000 projects to date. Additional DBA - Interstate Roofing. Additional contact name - Scott Riopelle.

"I began the process with Kristian Reynolds , a representative of Interstate, to have my hail damaged roof repaired on October 7th, 2019. I was told it would be 30-45 days to have the build completed. Then began the gaps in communication. Spotty texts and emails largely ignored previous solutions given by my county to address some of the fringe issues which eventually “caused” 17 months of delays. Despite the insurance having approved the work to be done in Oct. ‘19, it was dragged and dragged for months until almost November 2020, when Interstate came back with an estimate that was TRIPLE that of the original. As of December 2020, with no work done and an absolute nightmare process in dealing with their endless delays and gaps in communication, as well as taking a deposit which should have never been taken, my deposit was returned in full. Kristian was dismissive, and when my concerns intensified, would become defensive in response to my concerns very clear, as well as ignored any responsibility for the delays. As a matter of fact, the only person who I found to be even remotely helpful was Tom, who helped to return my deposit. The deposit was “lost” in the mail, and despite having my address clearly displayed on the demand letter requesting my deposit be returned, they still managed to send the check to the wrong address initially. While I understand my experience may be unique, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this company to anyone. Absolutely unprofessional, across the board."

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can salvage grill grates with some surface rust. Simply apply a commercial rust remover or a homemade vinegar, baking soda, or lemon juice paste with a wire brush or steel wool. After removing the rust from the metal, you can then apply a thin layer of rust-preventing oil to keep the grates looking good as new for longer. However, grate replacement is often better when the rust is deep.

The placement of snow guards depends on the individual roof, but typically snow guards are placed between 12 and 18 inches from the eaves, though they can be placed as close as six inches and as far as 24 inches from the eaves. A roofing professional can assess the roof and potential snow loads to determine the best placement.

A tin roof can last between 50 and 75 years, depending on the quality of the roof and the weather conditions it is subjected to.

In the right conditions, a steel roof can easily last 50 years or more. However, your environment and maintenance play a large role in the lifespan of a steel roof. For example, if you live under a large tree that frequently drops limbs, your roof will last much less time. Metal roofs near the sea degrade faster as well due to salt in the air.

Roofers most often use nails to fasten roofing shingles and other roofing materials. Nails have more holding power than staples and offer better weather resistance and longevity. However, it is possible to use staples instead of nails when installing a roof. Staples are less expensive, but not as high-quality.
