The work was wonderful. He did some repair work to the siding on the chimney. As he did his work, I was painting the lower half of the house, I consulted the owner on several questions I had and he was more than helpful. I had brush streaks on the front door, he suggested I use a roller and gave me one.

It went well! We had the ceilings, walls, trim and doors painted and he did a fantastic job. Hid cutting in with different colors is perfect!

Devin Sullivan, owner and proprietor of Sullivan coatings, is one of the precious few of a vanishing breed of professionals.  If you are looking for a "done in two days", "slap on a coat of pain" job, don't call Devin because he'll turn down the job anyway.   If you want the most meticulous, detail oriented, yet timely and efficient painting job possible, contact Devin Sullivan at Sullivan Coatings.  Devin paid attention to every detail, replacing rotted wood-trim, scraping, caulking, and priming every crack, nook, and cranny, primer on every surface, with two full coats on every surface.  Devin Sullivan uses only the most premium, contractor-grade products, and won't compromise.  He spent a full week, ensuring everything was perfect, and he left behind a job that anyone would be proud of.  Devin does his work quietly, he's polite, courteous, and treated my property as if it were his own.   He will cost a bit more than the turbo-painting crews out there, but this is truly a case where you get what you pay for.  If you are within 30-45 minutes of the Longmont, CO area, do yourself a favor and at least contact Sullivan Coatings for an estimate.  I keep going outside just to admire the exterior of my home because it makes me smile.

We had a great experience with Devon - he is our kind of painter! He took his time and made sure the job was done right. We was courteous, punctual, thorough and overall did a wonderful job! Our home has gotten rave reviews from the community  - and I believe several of the neighbors have hired him for their exterior painting projects after seeing the quality of his work.

The first job was a three week job and he did most of the work himself as he was just starting his business. He brought help when he needed it. He showed up everyday, on time and did a great job. He made suggestions about paint products so that we would be happy long term. (We are.) We've since used Sullivan Coatings for a rental house and are planning to use him again for a new home.
I've recommended Devin to a friend and they've used him (for interior work). They were also very happy with the job he did.
I saw that he received a very low rating from another Angie's List user. Obviously I can't speak to the situation for that review, but we have used Devin Sullivan several times and will continue to do so, as well as recommend him to a friend.

They were great.  He’s very professional, timely, and detail-oriented. If you don’t like something, he would come back and paint it again. The pricing is in line with other quotes I have gotten.

He was supposed to come back and paint but he never did. His work wasn’t that good.

Painting took 1 and a half weeks - work completed thoroughly and as promised.

Bid was clear and described all work to be performed. Estimated 4 day to complete work. Showed up every day on time. Worked hard. Only took short lunch break. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. Was a very nice young man and very professional. Ended up painting three doors because the trim color we picked did match the doors as we had thought. He painted those doors even though those they weren't in the bid, because he said he didn't want the doors to stand out with a different color. We are very pleased, it looks very beautiful. Finished job in three and a half days. We will definitely have him do additional painting projects. Devin has our highest recommendation.

It was great! He was on time, respectful of my furnishings and very pleasant to deal with....a very personable guy. He did an awesome job of painting straight edges where one color ended and another one started, even on curved and bumpy surfaces. I would ( and have) given him my highest recommendation and recommended him to my friends.
