"Jayrod and Dominic were professional and great efficient workers. They introduced themselves and made sure they understood our needs, going over all the pieces that needed to be moved room by room and carefully completed the task. I am using them again to move more furniture this week."

"The move was very smooth. I pre-paid the first 2 hours with special member discount and hoping the majority of moving would be done within 2 hours. After I explained to them what I need, Kevin and Juan started moving my stuff right on clock without any delay. They are very professional, careful, and fast! Excellent job! Highly recommend."

"Affordable Piano Movers & Storage moved an upright piano for me into a new home and up difficult stairs with a hair-pin turn. This was NOT an easy task and they did an excellent job, were on time, courteous and professional, and got the piano moved in gently to its new home on the second floor. Highly recommend hiring them if you need a piano moved!"

"Everything went find. I wanted everything done within 4 hours and they were finished 15 minutes early. The movers had to move furniture from a one room in Perris. Then they had to go to my storage in Corona get the majority of my things and then move that stuff to my permanent location in Chino. The move happen on one of the hotest day of the year. I moved to a one bedroom apartment. The last time I moved it took about 6 hours and they were professional movers. I was on a strick budget and because they finished on time I didn't go over my budget for moving. The drivers were professional and nice and I would use them again"

"We had a great experience with NorthStar Moving Company when we moved from Los Angeles to another city 90 miles away. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we got our estimate via a video call (which was our request). I was satisfied that we were getting a good price with a professional company. I had many calls with Ron prior to the call to discuss the details of the upcoming move and he was always very honest and fair with me. On the morning of the move, the 4 man team arrived on time, and they all wore masks which we had requested. The team leader, Emmanuel, was so accommodating and polite. All the guys worked hard and were very careful with our things. We really appreciated their efforts and the fact that none of our belongings were damaged in the move. In the end, we were so happy that we had hired this company. Highly recommend!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

For moving projects in Thousand Oaks, keep moisture absorbers, UV-resistant covers, and a fire extinguisher ready. Large-wheeled dollies and furniture sliders help protect floors and navigate uneven outdoor areas. Have a measuring tape, tie-down straps, and a utility contact list available. It’s also wise to keep a first aid kit and basic emergency supplies nearby, especially when working with local movers or tackling packing services.

Helpful?

Moving delicate electronics, wine collections, and fine art in Thousand Oaks requires careful handling due to the area’s dry climate and risk of heat damage. Pool and spa equipment must be moved by experienced packing services to avoid costly repairs. Leather furniture and musical instruments are especially sensitive to low humidity, while navigating narrow driveways or gated communities demands precise planning to prevent property or access issues.

Helpful?

In Thousand Oaks, prioritize moving projects before peak fire season or during cooler months to protect sensitive items. Schedule moves around school breaks and any HOA guidelines. If you’re moving electronics, artwork, or need utilities set up quickly, act right away. Less urgent tasks like garage organization or outdoor furniture can wait. Always consider local permit requirements and traffic patterns when planning your moving timeline.

Helpful?

In Thousand Oaks, outdoor living areas like patios, decks, and poolside spaces often require moving work due to frequent gatherings and seasonal weather shifts. Wine cellars, multi-level stairways, and attached garages are also common trouble spots. Attics and upper floors can be affected by summer heat, while guest suites and pool houses may need extra attention during moves or when using local movers.

Helpful?

Signs that moving work may need to be redone in Thousand Oaks include warped or cracked furniture from heat exposure, lingering smoke odors, or faded upholstery—especially after wildfire season. Look for scratched hardwood floors, chipped stucco, or damaged irrigation lines, which often signal rushed or careless moving. If you notice bent gates, broken fencing, or misaligned doors, consider redoing your moving work for better long-term results.
