"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

Lake Appliance Repair provides appliance service and parts. Lic# 319754. Dealer# A45035. We have 12 technicians working in the field along with 4 in the background taking care of scheduling, routing, date entry, billing, and more. We pride ourselves with offering THE BEST in customer satisfaction.

"They are scammer, they ask you to sign for just showing up at your house, they will promise you they will be back, then get paid by the manufacturer, then they claim nothing was wrong ...without even touching your equipment. --------------------------------------------------------------------- After purchasing the refrigerator we waited for a few months to open the box before putting our house on the market, in order to switch the old refrigerator with the new one. The refrigerator was in perfect condition, zero issues, with the exception of it making a very loud buzzing noise. It happens between 5 to 8 times a day on average. It will sound out in the middle of the night, also. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it doesn't last long, just about 10 seconds, only giving a very short window of time to record the sound (using whatever device). My wife went to Lowe's, and through one of the assistant manager?s, Ashley, got all of the information needed to obtain the repair. After contacting "

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

When you call Best Appliance Repair Service, you’re dealing with the owners and employees who take pride in every aspect of your service experience. We offer you the professional advantage of factory-trained technicians who arrive in uniform, with knowledge of the problem and a well-stocked van to complete your job. We work smart, for your benefit. For your safety, all employees are background checked and screened for driving records and drugs, earning us a “Gold Seal Certification” through industry leader Plus One Solutions. Sacramento-area customers have relied on us for 20 years. Owners Jennifer and Craig Coulter founded another successful, local appliance repair business, then sold it in 2002 and established Best Appliance Repair Service. Craig (the one with the Kiwi accent!) began his career in New Zealand, and employs the “Kiwi ingenuity” the country is known for.

"Called them to look at a dryer that was "smoking" according to my tenants. They said they'd charge a $139 service fee. I spoke to the technician over the phone at the property on the day of the service. He took two minutes to clear lint from the dryer. He did nothing else. He wanted an extra $50 for "labor." I told him that was absurd and that I wouldn't pay more than the quoted service fee (of $139). He proceeded to take the extra $50 in cash from my young tenant! Got no response to my email when I reached out to the company. Not at all a reputable business. Steer clear of them!!!!!!"

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

Small Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

Whether or not it’s safe to use a buzzing microwave depends on what’s causing the noise. If a loose fastener or a dirty cooling fan is the underlying issue, it’s safe to use your microwave, although you may do damage to the fan motor if you don’t clean the blades first. If the issue is stemming from something else, you could do further damage to your appliance and potentially even start a house fire if you don’t repair it before continued use. If the microwave is buzzing when not in use, shut the power and call an emergency electrician, as this could lead to a fire.

With proper cleaning and maintenance, most ovens last 15 to 20 years. When it comes to longevity, ovens are one of the more enduring appliances. That's because ovens don't have as many moving parts as other popular large appliances, like dishwashers and washing machines, so they don't wear out as quickly.

In general, yes, it's worth repairing an appliance over replacing it. If the repair will give you more years of reliable service from the oven and the repair costs less than buying a comparable new model, then yes, get it repaired. If, on the other hand, the oven is reaching the end of its life and needs a costly repair, you're likely better off buying a new oven.

Built-in models often integrate better aesthetically while being safer with overheating controls. Consultancy helps choose the correct type.

The magnetron, which is the component that generates the microwave energy used to heat your food, is the most likely piece to cause your appliance to fail. Unfortunately, your microwave won’t serve any purpose without a functioning magnetron, so not only is this the most common repair, but it’s also the most important.

Repairing a broken magnetron usually costs between $100 and $200 or $175 on average. About half of that cost goes toward labor, and the other half is for a new magnetron. Higher-end microwaves may demand larger or more complex components, which could increase your repair cost.
