"We've had Chapman Legacy Plumbing out here twice before, (see reviews for work done on 8/30/12 and 4/12/14), so we were very comfortable with the quality of their work, and glad to have them do work for us again.
We were scheduled to have our kitchen counters refinished by Miracle Method, and we needed to have the old sink, etc, removed prior to the refinishing, and new sink, etc, installed when the counters were finished.
Kermit, of Chapman's Legacy Plumbing came out and gave us an estimate.  We scheduled him to come back the day before the work on the counters was to be started, (11/10/14), and the day after the counters were to be completed.  I went to Ferguson's Plumbing Supply on Auburn Blvd  to buy the sink, faucet, air gap & disposal.  Because Chapman's Legacy Plumbing was doing the job, we received a discount.  Ferguson's took care of ordering what I had chosen. Kermit brought everything when he came to install, on Friday, 11/14/14.  That made it much easier for us.
Kermit showed up as scheduled on both days.  On the Friday, his son accompanied him.  Everything went smoothly.  We now have a beautiful large Kohler stainless steel sink with no divider.  I love the larger size.  Everything is working well.  We're very happy.  Both Kermit and his son are great to work with.  We would absolutely hire them again.

"Plumber responded the same day I called. I already purchased the parts and he installed them. He was done in 3 hours and did a very good job. It was a little more money than I expected, but when you get quality work you have to pay for it. I would use this company again. And I recommend them."

"Joshua is great! I purchased the toilets at Home Depot and arranged for Joshua to pick them up. Well HD Lancaster location only had two of the HE toilets that I wanted, so the 3rd toilet was picked up in the HD Palmdale store. Joshua did all this with pleasure. He was on time, work was completed superbly and cleanup was on point. I will always call on Joshua for my Handyman needs..."

"They were an hour late. They did a good quick job while they were here but they had to come back to finish the work. A different person showed up the second time to do the cement work. They cemented closed the clean out area and when a different company came to installed the pipes they had to bust it out and replace it."

"US Trenchless (Ross) preformed an inspection for us on a house we were buying. After we bought it, he installed a sewer access in the backyard. It was pretty cool to see the sewer pipe via their sewer camera. Very professional team doing the work. They left our backyard in the same condition as before. Highly recommend you have a sewer inspection from these guys if you're buying a home or have an older home.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

You may be able to install a garbage disposal on your own, especially if you're handy or have some experience with plumbing. However, if you have any concerns or want to make absolutely sure that the connections are installed correctly, you may be better off hiring a local garbage disposal installer to do the job.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.

The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home.

Garbage disposals can be considered bad for the environment due to their electricity usage, but good for the environment because they reduce the food waste sent to landfills. If everyone used a garbage disposal, it would tax the wastewater treatment facilities in that region, but if we had to choose one of the options, we’d say they are a net positive on the environment when used correctly.
