They charged alot more than they quoted on the phone and it was really frustrating because they charged for two peoples time when one person would only run to their van and get the tools.  This was my first experience with them and only one, I found there are many other plumbers who I would recommend over them.  I feel that they overcharge greatly for the same services that can be acquired through other plumbers and recommend that you always call around to see a drastic difference in bids.

if they didn't have a particular part, they recommended a place they  thought might have it.

I  began to have second thoughts, as I attempted to get advice, estimates, products & service from this company.   While in their showroom, I requested an estimate for the proposed work.  I was told the plumber who could provide it was out of town for the rest of week.  At the end of the following week, having not received the promised call from him, I phoned.  The sales clerk seemed to have lost my information, though she at least remembered having met me & the fact that we'd discussed the job.  I repeated the process, the next week.  Eventually, I got a call from the plumber & was appalled by the estimate.  I  read the Angie's List reviews & discovered that my experience was  consistent with the negative reviews, so I bought my fixture elsewhere, & hired another punctual, reliable company who did the work for about 25% of the estimate I'd received from West Coast Plumbing.  Thanks providing the confirmation I needed to go with my feelings & make a better choice!

They have a much better selection and better quality products than the local hardware stores.  It would be nice it they were open on the weekends when many of the working homeowners perform 95% of their home projects.  They would have received an "A" if they were open better than banker's hours (at least a few hours on Sat).   But, if you can pre-plan your weekend plumbing projects and be able to get down there after your work and before they close, then their product and selection is much better.  You just better hope you didn't miss something, or you will be stuck on Sunday chasing around parts at Ace.

I've used them several times.  One of their benefits is they have a storefront so you can go there and speak to them instead of just talking to a contractor on the phone.  They were competitively priced.   I found them to be knowledgeable and very responsive.  They came out to provide service right away.  They do really quality work.  They provided feedback on what I could do myself to help reduce the cost which I appreciated.

They charged by the hour but we did not talk to them because they were very chatty. It was too expensive to talk to them.  He was really rude to his helper. I was offended and upset by his treatment towards his helper. I would not recommend him and never use him again.  I found the store itself to be high priced too.

Plumber came within hours (on a Monday!). Fixed the plug, found the source of the leak (a cracked partially plastic fixture), installed a new one which was all brass, inspected the underside of the subfloor to ensure that no additional source of leakage existed.

Polite, courteous, informative (clearly explained problem and what he was doing), prompt and reasonably priced. No negatives. Have used them twice before with similar results. Recommended without reservation.

The faucet extension would only pull out only about six inches. We called West Coast Plumbing to come correct the problem. Both plumbers showed up again and told us to not worry that there was no charge for this visit (better not be!). They did a ridiculous mickey mouse job under my sink for their 'fix job'. If we ever have to turn off the water valve it will now take us 20 minutes to tear out their solution to the problem, plus the plumbers were aware that we are getting a new dishwasher and more than likely will have to turn off the water. When we complained about the $800 charge, the plumber replied "it wasn't $800 it was only $794"--Whatever! Lessons learned: 1. Get an extimate 2. Never hire these people.
