"I have had two satisfactory experiences but the third time they sent a rookie, who clearly did not know what he was doing and he made a big mistake installing the disposal. But he did scold us on what he perceived to be our misuse of the garbage disposal, how we must have done A, B or C and that's why a relatively new disposal went bad, even though we'd done no such thing! We called to complained that the new disposal leaked badly under the sink and spit water out the air gap when using the dishwasher. To ES&D's credit, they did quickly send a different person out to fix the problem free of charge, but the repairman was clearly unhappy about it, grumbling about how we were getting a better disposal than we deserved because it was "all he had on the truck," and he too scolded us on misuse of the disposal. That is NOT how you follow up on a customer complaint. I could have excused the first guy if I'd received a little respect from the second guy. I am done with this company."

"I was so happy with The Plumbing Therapist!!! I needed to replace a garbage disposal and a faucet in a kitchen vegetable sink. I had already bought both replacements and had them ready for them when they got there. After looking at the disposal he found that he might be able to dislodge what was stuck inside instead of installing the new one to save me the cost of the replacement. After working on it he found that he could not and installed the new disposal. He then started on the faucet and found that it was still under warranty with the manufacturer. Who new after 14 years!!! He helped me contact them while he was there and got a brand new replacement sent to me for FREE!!! It is a little scary taking a chance on new service providers with the hope that they are honest, hardworking and professional and The Plumbing Therapist was all 3!!! "I had replaced the pump and timer after the old pump died. I purchased a new pump from Leslie's Pool Supply and installed it, but I couldn't get the water circulating well, even after replumbing from 1.5" to 2" pipe. Matt responded quickly, discovered there was a crucial part missing from the new pump just by listening and observing it in operation. He recommended replacing the old filter system because of it's inefficiency. He did not charge for his visit, and offered to install the missing part. Based on our conversation, I contacted Leslie's and demanded a remedy for the pump. They ordered the missing part and had it here in 3 days. I asked Matt to go ahead and replace the filter, which he and Brian did yesterday. They were delayed by some emergency work, but called ahead and we agreed on a new time later the same day. They got here on time, installed the missing pump part, took out the old filter and installed the new one in about 75 minutes. They also fixed a problematic connection on the pool sweep pump, and while Brian worked on the plumbing for the new filter, Matt took the time to sweep and net the pool, and check the pool chemistry. Matt wrote up the invoice reflecting his 5% Angie's List discount without my having to present the coupon and they left after ensuring the system is working properly. I expect to call them if we have any other issues in the future."
