Follow up: I made my decision and signed the contract. Best decision I could have made. They were thousands of dollars less for the exact same equipment than 3 other companies I got estimates from. When challenged none of the other companies could revise their estimate to even come close. Southland is a Mitsubishi diamond dealer so I got full Mitsubishi warranties plus 1 year from Southland of parts and service. The day the installers arrived, on time, it was raining. Jamie and Ricardo used the utmost care to protect my home. They covered the floors, moved and covered the furniture and made sure before they left that I fully understood how to use the remote and operate the equipment. "OUTSTANDING! With just 2 days notice, Joe sent one of his outstanding staff members (Mikey) to fix the hole I made in our ceiling. The repair job was done so well that it's almost impossible to see where I almost fell through from the attic. During Mikey's ceiling repair visit I asked Joe to give us a quote for the outside valve replacement and plumbing box installation project. The price was so good (almost half the amount quoted by another company) we asked them to handle this as well. This project was not only handled quickly, Mikey upgraded the setup for better access. He even colored the new concrete to match our existing patio area where the valve box needed to be installed."
