"David was efficient and courteous. He explained the work and then completed it to my satisfaction. I have no photos, but I can tell you that I have never seen a prettier toilet mounting flange!"

"SRP is one of the best! Miguel was the first plumber to show up. He immediately accepted the job and starting working immediately. Although his company is fairly new, Miguel has 12 years of experience in plumbing and has all of the tools necessary to handle any plumbing issue. Miguel is very professional and trustworthy. I will be using his services in the future!"

"Excellent service. Ray called ahead of appointment to confirm model requirements. He found that a leak was starting. I trust his judgment. I have used Vista plumbing for 20 years for toilet replacement to water heaters and I am always satisfied."

"Our toilet needed a new flapper and trip lever. Now I haven't needed a plumber here in many years, so I admit I was a bit surprised by the cost. That said, I'm sure it was a competitive price. The real value to me was that my leaking toilet no longer leaks, the job was done quickly, Cameron was very courteous and professional, and he left no mess behind. I would recommend this company."

"I called several popular plumbing companies to replace an old dripping shower/tub faucet in the guest bath. All wanted to use their fixture and cut the shower tile to fit the new fixture, so I gave up. After a year or so, I joined Angie’s list and found Top Notch plumbing. Gordon had some fixture recommendations, but allowed me to purchase my own fixture that was compatible with my current installation. The overall install took about 3 hours. Gordon took care during the work to not damage any existing tile or carpet. He knows his craft and performed a very clean and professional install. Overall, I highly recommend Top Notch plumbing and will be saying goodbye to the popular TV advertising plumbers. Thanks Gordon!"

"I called just minutes before 10pm and expected to be told I'd have to wait until morning for a plumbing issue. Instead Jake showed up happy, polite and willing to find and solve our issue with in 35 to 40 min. Let me tell you Jake worked on our house for 2 hours solid, determined to fix our problem. Jerry showed up after Jake had been diligently trying everything to offer an extra hand. Both Jerry and Jake then worked an additional hour before finding and fixing our issue. Let me tell you, it was now very close to 2am!!!!!! This customer service, dedication and hard work was appreciated so much! I cannot say enough good things about Jake, Jerry or this company. Very honest, hard working people. Its hard to find this type of buisness nowdays!!!!! If i ever have another issue I will only call and use Liberty Plumbing and Heating. I sincerely Thank you for everything!!!!!"

"I called zoom without knowing anything about them, just taking a chance and boy did I luck out. The phone contact was superior as was the technician, Stanley and his helper. They went right to work clearing a Toilet stoppage and replaced a valve in my kitchen sink. There was no second trip, As everything that they needed was on their truck, which was really large. Stanley kept me in touch with me each step of the way and Iâ ve never had an experience like this with a plumbing company before,. I canâ t compliment this company and certainly recommend them to anyone who wants a A plumber Like no other and the price is very reasonable. What more could you want?"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can fill your toilet tank manually to help it flush, or you can pour the water directly into the bowl to flush it manually. This will work for the majority of toilets, as most use a gravity feed system. However, you should only ever use this as a temporary solution. If your toilet tank isn’t filling, you should find out why. First, make sure the speedy valve connected to your toilet and your water main are open. If that doesn’t solve the issue, call in a professional to address the problem.

Yes, you can install a basement bathroom without breaking concrete by using an upflush toilet system, which includes a macerator pump. These systems sit on top of the concrete floor, so you don't have to drill into it to install plumbing. The macerator pump breaks up waste until it is soft enough to pass through a discharge pipe to the main sewage line. This method saves you time and money by bypassing the need to break concrete to connect drain pipes.

A running toilet is not a plumbing emergency, but you will want to try some DIY fixes or call in a plumber to prevent wasting gallons of water. The three most common causes of a running toilet are a broken or dirty flapper, an incorrectly sized chain between the flush lever and flapper, or a float that is out of position.

If you decide to replace the toilet flapper yourself, the only cost will be buying the new flapper for around $5 to $17. You can also hire a plumber or handyperson to take on the job instead, in which case you’ll pay an hourly rate for labor plus the cost of parts. Handypersons charge $50 to $150 per hour, while plumbers cost $45 to $200 per hour. This repair might take less than an hour for your pro, but note that many providers have a minimum rate for a house call.

After flushing the toilet, you should have about half a tank full of water. While the exact amount of water you’ll have will vary, you want to make sure you have enough to cover the bottom of the bowl and enough to sit above the P-trap drain. While low water in your toilet bowl can indicate a problem, too much water can also be cause for concern.
