"I interviewed several contractors before selecting Mark Halpert Construction. Unlike the other contractors that I had interviewed, Mark was very interested in hearing my ideas and was not trying to take over the project with his vision for my home. Despite the challenges of undertaking a home remodel while living there, Mark was very responsive to any concerns I had and fully explained what I was to expect as the project moved forward. With any project of this size, there will be hiccups but I always found Mark very responsive in a timely manner to any of my concerns. His crew was wonderful and I’d like to give a special appreciation to José for all his hard work. Mark has an wonderful eye for detail and it was evident that he takes a great deal of pride in his work. Mark and his crew were always very and respectful of my home and space by leaving it cleaned up after each days work. Even my neighbors commented that the workers were very polite when interacting with them and we’re diligent about cleaning up at the end of their workday. Not only would I hire Mark again but I would feel comfortable recommending him to any of my family or friends."

"First of all check Tim Armitages license, which we did after the fact There is some question as to his current status. We had a complete upgrade done to the exterior of our house. We were pleased with the overall outcome until we went to fill the pool and found out that during the demolition of the old concrete, the fill pipe for the pool had gotten damaged by the skip loaders they were using. This pipe was right below the surface and should of been checked before they poured the new concrete, especially since they had broken another pipe in the same area and at the same depth. Needless to say we did not find out about it until after all the new concrete had been poured, when 10 weeks after the completion of the job, a crack appeared and water started seeping out. (we do have photos of the skip loader right over where this pipe is located). This pipe had never leaked before the start of construction. When we approached Tim, the general contractor, he was unapologetic and tried to blame it on everything other then his own lack of oversight. This brings me to the communication aspect of this project. Most of Tim's communication is done by text and photos. We basically only saw him when he wanted a check. There were many times when we felt that we were the project managers for the job, like the time that our streets water was being turned off, which I had informed Tim of exact time and date prior, and who shows up to work, but one of the concrete guys, and dont they need water? Or the time when the roofer showed up and they had not completed the painting in that area. Thankfully we were home at the time, otherwise there would of been a situation. We never even got the courtesy of a final walk around to make sure everything was OK. All through the job Tim got texts and photos from his subcontractors upon completion of their portion of the project and Tim relied on these sources without an on sight look see. On this note, at the completion of the project we got a text asking if everything was good, And that was that."

"Nucave Construction remodeled my house and it looks great. They did roofing, flooring, interior and exterior paint, windows, wood repair/replacememt, lighting, cabinets and lots of handyman type of things for me. The crew always showed up on time and worked hard all day. Everyone speaks fluent English and are very cordial and professional. Ryan, the owner is very knowledgeable and has quite the eye for design. A custom closet with drawers was built in a room that had none and you would never know it wasn't originally built with the house. Based on Nucave's professionalism, attention to detail and fair pricing I would highly recommend them for your home project."

Customers say: True professional

"We found McCormick home builders through Angie’s list. They were not one of our original contacts, but they contacted us and came out to give us a quote. Matteo was extremely helpful, informative, honest, and gave us reasonable realistic prices, and did not try to inflate the prices or pressure us in anyway. We felt very comfortable with him immediately. We felt like he was a member of the family that we could just talk to and ask questions he was very personable. He gave us his contact number in case we had other questions and he was always available when we needed him for any type of questions or concerns. Mateo‘s team did a beautiful job. They were fast. They were efficient. They cleaned up beautifully. They did a wonderful job. They were very considerate of our time our needs and our neighbors. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Matteo from McCormick home builders for any home building projects, and we will be calling him again in the future!"

"R&R exceeded my expectations. Their work was exceptional, they were friendly and professional, they offered fair pricing, and when they were done they cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell any work had been done. Additionally, Even for a relatively small job the manager/estimator came out and visited while the work was being done to check in and make sure everything was going well."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Make sure you’re getting the right size to meet your space needs, including enough space both side to side and vertically to accommodate your RV’s features and allow you to safely move it in and out of the garage.

If you’re building an attached and enclosed garage for your RV, you’ll also want to give some thought to whether you’d like to add workspace, water or electricity, or additional storage. If so, you’ll need a garage with larger dimensions.

Yes, designing builds to fit space constraints and meet functional needs.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

Federal architecture is most common in urban areas throughout the New England states, including the older parts of New York, Pennsylvania (namely, Boston and Philadelphia), Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. The style also dominated in parts of Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, so many historical homes in the area embody this home design. Salem, MA, has two historic districts that predominantly feature this architectural style: Chestnut Street District and the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.
