"I purchased a deal with Liberty Plumbing, and within a day they had responded to offer me an appointment for one of the three dates I had requested.  I had a specific question about clearing my condensate line so I sent them a message and within the hour I received a response.  Very impressive!  The technician, Terry, called me at the start of the scheduled window of time to say he was on his way.  When he arrived he was very pleasant and professional, and listened to my concerns regarding an apparent clog in the condensate line. I've had two prior leaks in the past 18 months going not only into the wall from the floor in the attic, but travelling another floor below into the ceiling of my garage beneath my condo's living space.  Obviously the line had not been thoroughly cleared at my service call the year before before (by another company) and so that problem was never resolved. I can say that confidently because I use my a/c only when the temp rises above 92 for more than one day since my home stays fairly cool.  But we had relentless heat waves last summer and as a result of the unit routinely running for a few days I had another leak and had to discontinue using a/c until everything could dry out, which was really uncomfortable. Terry thoroughly cleaned my compressor outside and cleared the condensate line, and to ease my fears, he confirmed it by pouring water into the overflow line so I could listen to the water travel to the pipes under the bathroom sink.  Thank you, Liberty Plumbing!  I feel confident this has resolved the leak issue, and now I can stay on top of keeping the line clear. Excellent work, no additional fee's, and I will definitely use them in the future to keep everything in order.

"I have a 2 unit dual zone air conditioning system for the house and a commercial grade swamp cooler for an RV garage.  All units are located on the roof.  Fan motor and capacitor went out on one of the units and needed replacement.  I asked Brian to do a service/check of the other units while he was there.  The other units were OK but it turns out the swamp cooler filter pads were incorrectly installed by the original installer and the unit was only functioning at 50%.  Brian and his crew fixed everything.  The service cost included servicing all three units, replacing the fan motor and capacitor, replacing the damaged and expensive cooler filter pads, and 3 boxes of intake filters for the house, one for each size.  I have used other air conditioning companies before and have noticed their tendency to up-sell or sell you things you don't need.  Brian is very honest and does not do that.  Brian and his crew arrived on time, were professional and friendly and worked hard.  I will only use Absolute Air Conditioning in the future!

"My water heater was leaking but glad that I contacted water heater only. I called at 10:00am and by 12pm they were here installing my new water heater. David from Water Heaters Only came in the afternoon of 6/12/18 and it took 2 hours to install to city and state code. He had all the parts and tools to change the water heater on the spot. Old heater was taken away and new heater installed by 2pm.. I would highly recommend Water Heaters Only. They were very professional and courteous."

"From 9:30 a.m. until very late that evening, a crew of four (4) guys, including Orlando himself, worked very diligently and respectfully (e.g., no bad language) at our house.  Mr. Hutchinson again evaluated the old and new systems and explained how the old system components were "over" sized, but that the original ducting was "under" sized.  I agreed with his suggestion to add an additional duct to both the kitchen and master bedroom.  The additional cost, to me, for this modification was very modest considering the additional materials and work they had to do.  And of course it lengthened the time necessary to complete the whole project.  But they stayed and worked very hard and late into the evening to get it all done!  
Mr. Hutchinson and his men placed our needs, as their customers, above their own that day.  And with the engineering solutions that Orlando added to our new system, our family can now enjoy a house that is 100% comfortable in the summer - for the first time time in 18 years!  
In their office, Teresa handled the city permit, scheduled the independent system test and made sure that I had all the necessary paperwork for the city inspector when he was scheduled to arrive, some days after the system was installed.  She made it so easy for me.  There is HOPE for America after all!  Don't give up.  There ARE some strong, capable and caring men still around.Mr. Orlando Hutchinson and Hutchinson Heating & Air Conditioning - Murrieta have earned a high recommendation from me."

"My air conditioner broke on the hottest day of the year (113). I went on Angie's list and saw they were highly rated so I gave them a call. It was late in the day when I called, but they were able to come out the next day. The guy was able to get the AC working but said I probably needed a new system. This didn't come as a shock to me....it was getting old. I had gotten estimates before, so I had a dollar figure in my head for what a new system would cost. I called their office and scheduled an estimate. The young man who came out took his time and looked at everything. He explained what he was doing and why. When showing me my options, he didn't try to sell me the most expensive model, but the one that best suited my needs. It wound up being $3000 less then previous estimates I had been given. When it came to installation, their team arrived on time, put coverings down to protect my floors (HVAC is in the attic) and even brought a portable AC unit so I would be comfortable....it was about 110 that day. They thought it would probably take a day and a half, but they got it all done in one day. My AC is working great now. I didn't know how poorly my old unit was working until the new one was installed. I'll have to say that I have been impressed with this company from start to finish. Everyone from the lady who answers the phone, to the estimator, to the installers has been punctual, pleasant and informative. They send e-mails to confirm appointments, usually with a picture of who is coming. Also, the amount I paid for the first repair was deducted from the bill for installation. They are going to be my new go-to people for all heating and cooling from now on."

Thermostat screen went blank-furnace and A/C wouldn't come on

Chris arrived within 1 hour of my call and checked the furnace first. He found a blown fuse and no power to low voltage wires inside the unit. He then checked the thermostat and found it was no longer working. Chris replaced the fuses and the thermostat with a similar unit and tested the entire system. He then checked my A/C unit for Freon levels and found and repaired a wire that had come loose.

Chris was very pleasant to work with and explained what he was checking and why as he went along. He explained how the new thermostat worked and provided me with both the installation and operating manuals. Great service!

"I am primarily writing this review to relate how Southland Heating and Air responded when we discovered a problem. Once installed, our A/C worked well and we had no problems... around December, after we had been using our heater exclusively (no A/C), I decided to simply run the A/C to test it, blow it out and be sure everything was running well. What I discovered was a BAD smell with the A/C... which we presumed was the dreaded 'dirty sock' syndrome... Needless to say, we were horrified... particularly after spending a lot of money to have AC installed. WELL, I am happy to relate that Southland Heating and Air were VERY responsive, took the time to diagnose the problem and - we feel - went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied. Ultimately - for whatever reason - our installed HVAC coil was contaminated. Following a few tries at lesser fixes, Southland simply replaced the coil and we were back up and running. Their service guys and technician were highly professional, always on time and truly worked to fix the problem. Since the coil replacement, we have had no problems and we are happy to report that our system runs like a charm. When you are spending a lot of money for this sort of upgrade you truly want to know that your install company stands by their products and work and won't leave you hanging out to dry if and when there is a problem. Southland took care of us and took care of business."

"With one call to Ken Starr Heating & A/C, Ken set up both an inspection and installation appointment for the new furnace. We worked our appointments around the scheduled rains, and Ken was even able to inspect earlier than the scheduled appointment when my schedule opened up. He clearly explained the work to be performed, including estimated completion time, and potential additional costs if encountered. He quoted an estimated cost of $1700. His office promptly faxed me a printed work order estimate the following morning, and I pre-paid with a credit card. Ken's crew arrived as scheduled two days later and performed the removal, and Ken arrived with the new furnace and conducted the install with his team. After answering questions and packing up, they finished several hours ahead of schedule. The heater runs perfectly and we are very satisfied with the job. There was no additional cost - we paid exactly as quoted. The only small detail was minor damage to the painted wood trim around the attic opening, which I anticipated. Overall, Ken Starr did a fantastic job."
