"This was by far the best experience I've had when it involves repairs. My heater had been broken for a year. Because I'm on a fixed income, I couldn't afford to replace it. Quotes from others all recommended replacement. HD Mechanical gave me an estimate for repair and it was fixed right away, an at a fair price. Brandon and Tim are the best and are professional and dedicated to getting the job done without trying to upsell to unnecessary replacement. It works fantastic. They also happened to fix my ac as well, with no cost to me. If you are a woman alone, hire this company. They're honest and fair, and provide great service"

"Called a few different places and this one was the soonest that was able to get me a diagnostic for my heater that kept turning off after 10 minutes, he came after finishing another job, checked it out and said he'll be back in the morning with the parts. Got it done pretty quick the next day. I would recommend jays heating ?"

"Orlando came out and took his time to diagnose the issue. The system had no freon in it. So he preformed all the appropriate checks for leaks. Found the leak and then proceeded to fill the system with freon. All I can say is I would recommend this guy to anyone who needs an honest person to come do their work. Thanks Orlando!"

"Sent email through anigies list site, he called right away on a Sunday night - tried to help me fix my thermostat since it was only a year 1/2 old but we could not.  Did tell me he had a job in san diego that week.  since it was nothing major decided to wait since the reviews were good and he seemed honest.  finally was able to pick a good day, called letting me know he was on his way, showed up and first looked at my thermostat but it was broke, replaced with new one right away.  Explained how it worked also checked my filters and let me know where I could buy replacement ones at a good price.  Was quick, very friendly and professional.  Also does electrical work which I need so I will be calling in the future.

"From start to finish, all the representatives of this company were polite, friendly and professional. Their salesman, Jay Godina, was super nice and my husband and I would consider him a friend forever. It was a pleasure to have him every step of the project. He assured us we could call him any time. The men that did the tear out and installation, Salvadore and Rafael, were exemplary employees. They were prompt, polite, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We have only praise and no complaints whatsoever. They went beyond expectations. Our hats off to this company and their employees. They will have our continued patronage. Sincerely, Sherry & Keith"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.

A furnace takes in cool air, heats it through the burner and heat exchanger, and sends the air on its way to warm your home. A boiler is a pressurized vessel that produces hot water or steam to heat the home and provide hot water. A boiler may or may not work together with a furnace.

Unless they are connected to the same system, boilers and water heaters will both need their own expansion tanks. The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.
