"Francisco and his team are true CRAFTSMEN. Everything they did was professional and beyond our expectations. My parents and close friends had their homes prepped & painted by Supremacy Painting prior to us hiring them and all of them were blown away at the level of detail, knowledge and care all of the guys had. They did some extra work on the house aide from painting (doors, coverings, new light fixture, gutters, stucco, etc, etc). They worked with us on pricing and arrived every single day right on time, straight to work and cleaned up daily. Francisco gave us some great advice and design ideas that REALLY helped transform our home. All our neighbors love the final product and a few are already planning to use Supremacy for their homes. We're beyond thrilled with everything they did for us and will absolutely be hiring them again for additional projects. THANK YOU!"

"Rock N Block did an excellent job transforming our backyard into a much more usable and beautiful space. From the start, the estimator offered expert suggestions and thoughtful ideas to help us achieve our goals while staying within budget. Pricing was competitive, and financing options were available. The entire process was organized and professional. Scheduling was proactive, communication was clear, and the timeline and cost estimate were accurate. The crew consistently arrived on time and worked hard every day. Our project manager was responsive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the project. The on-site team was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. The finished paver installation looks fantastic and completely changed the feel and functionality of our backyard. We are very happy with the result and would absolutely recommend Rock N Block to anyone looking for quality hardscape work."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Garage floor sealers last anywhere from one to 10 years on average, depending on the type of sealer you use and the traffic it’s exposed to. Acrylic sealers have the shortest longevity, whereas most other options can last anywhere from five to 10 years. If you use an acrylic sealant to protect against stains, reapply every one to two years. Reapply other types of concrete sealers every five years for the best results and maximum protection.

Generally speaking, epoxy is the best garage floor coating. There are two main types of garage floor coating you can consider: epoxy and polyaspartic. Epoxy coating comes at a more affordable price but loses when it comes to durability and long-term use. Polyaspartic coatings cost more and don’t offer as much traction, but they withstand accidents better and don’t tend to fade. Most homeowners choose an epoxy coating.

To preserve a concrete coating, routine maintenance should include regular sweeping and cleaning to remove debris and dirt, promptly addressing any spills to prevent staining, and applying a sealer as the manufacturer recommends. Inspect the surface periodically for any signs of wear or damage to ensure timely repairs and maintain the coating's protective qualities.

The biggest downside of sealing concrete is that it needs to be resealed every few years. This routine maintenance can be laborious if you do it yourself and expensive if you hire a professional. Beyond that, sealing concrete can make the surface slippery, which can be dangerous with people with mobility issues, young children, or those with pools near their patios.

Whether it's better to stain or paint concrete depends on your budget, desired aesthetic, and DIY skill level. Generally, staining is a more durable option because the stain soaks into the concrete's surface and won't wear away like a topical paint coating. Painting concrete can trap moisture underneath the paint layer, which may cause the concrete to deteriorate over time. However, concrete paint offers a wider variety of colors, is typically easier and less expensive to apply, and is effective at covering up existing stains or blemishes on the surface.
