Recent Plumbers Reviews in El Dorado Hills

  • Dependable Rooter and Plumbing
I called Dependable Rooter & Plumbing in an emergency as my sewer line had backed up and was overflowing onto the driveway. Andrew arrived within just a few hours of me calling, which was great. Between the time I called and the time he arrived, they kept me updated on status and arrival time. They were great at setting expectations. He introduced himself and explained the pricing structure and potential work. I agreed, and he quickly went to work checking the system. His findings revealed root intrusion into the riser that affected draining. He performed a hydrojet service and main line machine service to clear the roots and line. In addition, he performed a video exam of the line to ensure all was clear. His work was very professional, thorough and left the site extremely clean after he was done. There was no upsales talk or BS. He was straightforward and honest and I appreciated that. He gave me my options for repairs, pros and cons and recommendations, but never tried to hard sell me anything. Dependable is now my go-to plumbing service and I already have recommended them to several other homeowners

  • Murray Plumbing
I can't say enough good things about Ryan Murrary, the owner of Murray Plumbing. Ryan and his assistant Dayton. I needed his help installing a new disposal in my kitchen sink. He and Dayton were at my house the very next day installing and correcting the previous plumbers installations mistakes. Ryan and Dayton are very knowledgeable guys when it comes to anything dealing with Plumbing. They finished their work in short time. Cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. They went out of their way to help me and to be sure I was satisfied with work. Murray Plumbing is the one to call for all your plumbing needs. You won't be disappointed. I can assure of that

  • GVD Renovations
The project involved replacing/relocating kitchen island plus countertops, backsplash, range hood insert, floor tile, electrical and plumbing for a high end custom home. The project went as planned cradle to grave, noteworthy and impressive considering COVID. GVD said 5 weeks for construction. It took 5 weeks. The design team did a wonderful job rendering our future kitchen allowing us to see [not just imagine] what it will look like both aesthetically and functionally. The construction crew knew their business. Each an expert in his craft. They worked efficiently making big efforts to wall off the rest of the house from the construction area and maintaining a tidy construction area throughout the construction period. Even the 'permit guy' was impressed saying he could not find a code they did not follow to the letter. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for my next project

  • The Hot Water Heater Company Inc
The Hot Water Heater Company earned the 5 star review. After calling four other companies and explaining my hot water heater's issue and being told I would have to replace the unit, Doug was willing to trouble shoot the problem. My wife and I went from thinking we were going to be in for a $2100.00 replacement down to a $250.00 repair. The fact that Doug was willing to look at other options and did the right thing by trying to only repair the issue brings me to writing this review. Doug was able to send someone out that afternoon. His technician was professional and courteous and very proficient at his trade. I would hands down refer this company to anyone who is in need of this type of service

  • Dependable Rooter and Plumbing
Very happy with the outcome. Taylor analyzed the situation to ensure that there we no mitigating factors why a pressure relief was leaking (e.g. a failing PRV). Provided multiple options to address the leaking pressure relief valve (not on water heater, but a separately installed valve was leaking). After deciding on the valve replacement option, the work was completed within the hour (including picking up parts from a supply warehouse). Work area was left as found and the new installation looks better aligned with a faucet right next to it than before. The high quality part should last another 15-20 years. Taylor provided some education on the water system and the current setup, as to be able to look for any other signs in the future of something not working correctly with the plumbing before it becomes a problem. Also realigned the water pressure inside the house. The company's service is not inexpensive compared to some others out there. I still felt it was worth the investment

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
