"I hired Joe to replace my deck boards with a composite. First he gave me a quote for complete deck replace including railings. The price dropped by half for just deck boards. I pointed out some dry rot and price went up 1k. As he started work more and more dry rot was found. He gave me a flat price to replace all dry rot. That final price was half way between the two original quotes. He kept finding more dry rot and he spent a lot of time leveling the deck. So it was probably correctly priced. All the dry rot and leveling added 2 days. The end product looks god. There are still some oddities but this is due to how uneven the original deck was. My two complaints would be they marked lines on the boards with pencil that did not come out. I had to get an eraser and spent a few hours erasing the lines. On a wood deck stain would have covered it. Last complaint is many boards have no space between them. The water may drain better if the gaps were better. On a plus side after work was completed he did come back to plug a screw hole that did not have a screw."

"Recently my dadâ s roof blew off in a windstorm. I told him we needed 3 quotes before deciding on who should repair our roof. "Monroy's was great! The wood floors throughout our entire home were flooded and had to be torn up, along with portions of our walls which were wet as well. Because we were dealing with potential mold growth, as well as lead and asbestos in the building materials because it is an older home, we were very nervous about making sure the job was done right. We had initially started to contract with two other companies, then had to back out because we did trust them to do the job right and/or try to charge us more money than we agreed upon. Daniel and his dad were always available to answer our questions, were upfront about all of the pricing and presented us with different options. They kept everything around our home clean and tidy, despite the fact that it was a large demolition project. Literally no complaints about the process. And most importantly we feel confident that it is a safe home to live in and there will be no ongoing issues with mold, lead, or asbestos.
