"Joe cleared the sink drain and turned the water off because I needed a new faucet. The old one was leaking and it was an expensive faucet so the repair would be expensive. I needed a new faucet because that one was corroded. He also checked the toilet to see if the water flow was o.k. and it was. Next I went out to Home Depot and purchased another wide spread faucet. Called Joe and he came out to install it. He is very courteous and efficient. He answered all of my questions. I would definitely hire Phill's Plumbing again."

"John the Plumber for Degennaro, was courteous and efficient. He was able to perform the job on the same day as the bid/estimate. He installed our toilets and left a very clean worksite. I would hire Degennaro again, if I have another plumbing project."

"The plumber spent a lot of time just trying to figure out the source of the hidden leak. He had a lot of patience. The quality of work was good as was the price. I would definitely hire them again."

"Jose (with JRC Plumbing) did an excellent job replacing my kitchen faucet. He quickly responded to my request and was on time to the job site. He was clean and effecient (everything you hope for in a plumber inside your home)! His attention to the details (making sure the faucet was centered and no smudges) was definately appreciated. Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Ignoring mineral scale buildup from Brea groundwater accelerates damage to your plumbing fixtures and water heaters. Pouring grease down the drain creates severe blockages, while using caustic chemical cleaners directly degrades the ABS plastic pipes common in local homes. Additionally, running your garbage disposal without adequate water flow concentrates food waste, which quickly damages the lower-slope drain runs in single-story properties.

Helpful?

Completing permitted plumbing upgrades directly increases your property appeal in the competitive Orange County market. Proactively addressing slow drains or aging pipes eliminates mandatory disclosure liabilities under California law. Furthermore, replacing old galvanized systems expands your eligible buyer pool by meeting strict conventional and FHA loan requirements. A documented, code-compliant water heater also serves as a strong, tangible selling point.

Helpful?

Homeowners consistently underestimate the strict permit requirements enforced by the city for most plumbing work beyond minor repairs. You are also fully responsible for inspecting and replacing the sewer lateral from your house to the public main. Furthermore, CA state law mandates specific water heater upgrades, including seismic strapping and energy efficiency standards, which directly expand your project scope and timeline.

Helpful?

Watch for visible white mineral deposits around your fixtures, as Brea has notably hard groundwater that accelerates internal pipe scaling. You must also inspect for new leaks or pressure changes after any seismic activity near the Whittier Fault. Additionally, if your home dates back to the 1950s, original cast iron or galvanized pipes require proactive plumbing upgrades due to age alone.

Helpful?

The construction year is the single most critical data point for shaping plumbing decisions in Brea, as it dictates your existing pipe materials and code gaps. You must also review the property permit history to identify any unpermitted past work. Finally, check your proximity to the Whittier Fault, as homes in mapped liquefaction zones require flexible connectors and seismic-rated components.
