"Joe cleared the sink drain and turned the water off because I needed a new faucet. The old one was leaking and it was an expensive faucet so the repair would be expensive. I needed a new faucet because that one was corroded. He also checked the toilet to see if the water flow was o.k. and it was. Next I went out to Home Depot and purchased another wide spread faucet. Called Joe and he came out to install it. He is very courteous and efficient. He answered all of my questions. I would definitely hire Phill's Plumbing again."

"John the Plumber for Degennaro, was courteous and efficient. He was able to perform the job on the same day as the bid/estimate. He installed our toilets and left a very clean worksite. I would hire Degennaro again, if I have another plumbing project."

"This was a difficult project, owing to the no-cripple-wall construction of my house and the ridiculously tight crawl space - less than a foot in critical spots - plus the maze of beams and ducts. I called six or seven plumbers to come out and bid the work and two of them ran screaming (well, not really, they just told me they needed to work up an estimate 'back at the office' and never called back). One guy swore I'd have to rip out a wall AND the floor to get to the pipe. Mr. Rooter didn't propose anything so dramatic. They just said they'd excavate as needed to make room to move around. So that's what they did. They billed it as a two-day job. They showed up on time, and the work was wrapped up by the third hour of the second day. Because that, I was concerned this job had been overbilled. Their bid had been astronomical, but it was still lower than everyone's except the guy with the lapsed bond. Mr. Rooter had been willing to negotiate and I knocked about $650 off their initial bid. They took another $200 off at the back end because of my concern with overbilling. They didn't have to do that since they had a signed contract in hand, but they were willing to take care of a customer. Thumbs up for that. The work looks solid, as far as this layman can tell. Everything drains as it should and none of the joints leak."

"I had several plumbing problems coincident with the emptying of my septic tank, and the two plumbers from VIP were right on it. They dropped their lunches and diagnosed and treated the problems to the extent they were able."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

After a plumbing project in Orange, it’s important to schedule any required inspections, document the work with photos, and retain all completion paperwork. Test all fixtures and connections for leaks over a full day before closing up walls. Regularly flush water heaters, inspect for early signs of corrosion, and check for hard water buildup to maintain system efficiency and prevent future plumbing issues.

Helpful?

In Orange, urgent attention is needed for active leaks, sewer blockages, or gas line concerns, as these can cause property damage or health risks. Less critical issues like slow drains or minor drips can be scheduled soon but don’t require immediate action. Consider addressing outdoor plumbing before the rainy season and plan major upgrades during mild weather for easier access and fewer disruptions.

Helpful?

In Orange, the longevity of plumbing work depends on selecting corrosion-resistant materials suited for local water quality, using flexible piping to withstand seismic shifts, and ensuring installations meet current code standards. Proper pipe insulation, pressure regulation, and thorough leak testing are also crucial. Hiring licensed professionals familiar with Orange’s soil conditions and climate helps prevent premature wear and supports long-lasting plumbing systems.

Helpful?

In Orange, you’ll find residential plumbing contractors for repairs and remodels, specialists in trenchless sewer line replacement, and contractors focused on water filtration or softener installation. Some pros offer seismic retrofitting or repiping for older homes, while others handle emergency plumbing or advanced leak detection. Many local contractors also provide eco-friendly upgrades to help homeowners meet water conservation goals.

Helpful?

Upgrading plumbing in Orange can significantly enhance your home’s value and attract buyers, especially with modern fixtures, whole-home water filtration, or tankless water heaters. Documented, code-compliant improvements offer peace of mind to potential buyers and reduce future maintenance concerns. Energy-efficient and water-saving upgrades are particularly appealing in CA’s market, especially in neighborhoods with aging infrastructure.
