The gas pipe repair was overpriced 770 in my opinion although it was completed without the need to follow up within the day and they did show up as they promised. The leaking riser section pipe was underground only 6 inches and the entire excavation was about 18 in long x 6 in wide x 8 in deep approx, done by hand tool. He spent more time trying to upsell me a full length underground pipe replacement and trenching than talking about the repair at hand. When I toyed with the idea of a new line above ground without the excavation cost, he described the most absurd design of mounting the new line 3 feet off the ground to show me how ugly and indicated that is the regulation, which is not true. The line and certainly touch ground.

We had used Degennaro before and were very pleased with them, so, when I encountered a problem with my large kitchen sink that also has a disposal, I called them again. John was over within 30 minutes. Gave me a quote of 250 to clean the line. He went to work and did a thorough job. Working great. So pleased with John and his pleasant demeaner and his work. Had a leaky shower head which had previously been repaired by a plumber I hired due to a very high Yelp rating. That plumber took a total of seven hours to repair the leak. After a couple of months the leak returned. Hired Degennaro plumbing who repaired the leak in less than an hour and charged me half of what the previous plumber charged. James Degennaro came to the house exactly on time, had all the necessary parts with him, and even showed me old parts that the previous plumber failed to replace which resulted in the leak returning. Overall a great experience and I would definitely hire him again based on his professional manner and obvious superior knowledge of plumbing problems.

Customer service called me immediately after I submitted a request for quotes to repair my hot water heater. She said she could have someone out to my home in 45 minutes to give me a free no obligation estimate. John came to my home and gave me two estimates, one to repair my hot water heater and one to install a new one. He was very professional and able to answer all my questions about the pros and cons of each choice. I decided to go with installing a new hot water heater. John was able to take out the old water heater and install the new one the same day he came to give me the estimate. His work and the clean up after the job were excellent.
