The gas pipe repair was overpriced 770 in my opinion although it was completed without the need to follow up within the day and they did show up as they promised. The leaking riser section pipe was underground only 6 inches and the entire excavation was about 18 in long x 6 in wide x 8 in deep approx, done by hand tool. He spent more time trying to upsell me a full length underground pipe replacement and trenching than talking about the repair at hand. When I toyed with the idea of a new line above ground without the excavation cost, he described the most absurd design of mounting the new line 3 feet off the ground to show me how ugly and indicated that is the regulation, which is not true. The line and certainly touch ground.

We had used Degennaro before and were very pleased with them, so, when I encountered a problem with my large kitchen sink that also has a disposal, I called them again. John was over within 30 minutes. Gave me a quote of 250 to clean the line. He went to work and did a thorough job. Working great. So pleased with John and his pleasant demeaner and his work. Had a leaky shower head which had previously been repaired by a plumber I hired due to a very high Yelp rating. That plumber took a total of seven hours to repair the leak. After a couple of months the leak returned. Hired Degennaro plumbing who repaired the leak in less than an hour and charged me half of what the previous plumber charged. James Degennaro came to the house exactly on time, had all the necessary parts with him, and even showed me old parts that the previous plumber failed to replace which resulted in the leak returning. Overall a great experience and I would definitely hire him again based on his professional manner and obvious superior knowledge of plumbing problems.

John the Plumber for Degennaro, was courteous and efficient. He was able to perform the job on the same day as the bid/estimate. He installed our toilets and left a very clean worksite. I would hire Degennaro again, if I have another plumbing project.

Customer service called me immediately after I submitted a request for quotes to repair my hot water heater. She said she could have someone out to my home in 45 minutes to give me a free no obligation estimate. John came to my home and gave me two estimates, one to repair my hot water heater and one to install a new one. He was very professional and able to answer all my questions about the pros and cons of each choice. I decided to go with installing a new hot water heater. John was able to take out the old water heater and install the new one the same day he came to give me the estimate. His work and the clean up after the job were excellent. Finally, a plumbing company that is 100% honest, very responsive and charges a very fair price! My main line was totally clogged with roots. Dirty water was backing up in my tub and my toilet would not flush. I hired a different contractor that came out, charged a hefty fee only to penetrate a small hole in the clog (to drain the water) and run a camera through the line. I was told that they would have to use a high pressure water jet to clear the line and that would not be available to do the work until 4 days later. They quoted me an outrageous price! I then called JD Plumbing and got to talk to the owner (James himself) and Danny S., a plumber, to get a second opinion. They told me that the water jet is not necessary to clear the line and in fact there was significant risk that my bathroom could be flooded by high velocity water backing up and overflowing my toilet. Danny came out sharply at 8:00 AM the next day and cleared the line in about an hour. I ended up paying less than one third of total cost had I followed through with the first company that came out. I was very impressed that the owner would take the time to talk with me and be so truthful. Danny was awesome! A very professional, hard working and supper friendly guy. A stressful experience with a very good ending thanks to JD Plumbing.
