He was communicative, provided timelines, explained things in ways we understood, and made incredibly helpful recommendations. Structural engineering problem discovered during inspection from our old 1950s built home? Done, Manuel had it solved and signed off by that afternoon. Trouble with other contractors we hired separately for specific trades? Done, Manuel had his team jump in and support to help fix their mistakes. We were doing this project remotely from Seattle so constant communication, photos, and updates were key for us and CM Tile delivered. "Bernd is a very talented builder and craftsman, and a very fair and honest person that is a pleasure to deal with, and super responsive (which I have found to be uncommon in his field). He just completed a full renovation of our recently purchased ski condo in Mammoth Lakes, CA - we couldnâ t be happier with the end result, and we are the envy of all of our neighbors. Bernd installed new floors throughout - they look amazing- the details on the stairs are stand out spectacular (heâ s very good), he installed our brand new kitchen, did the most amazing tile work in 3 bathrooms and our kitchen backsplash, turned a closet into a laundry room, painted the entire place, fixed drywall after the plumbers and electricians came through, installed a 2 story tall sandstone brick wall behind our fireplace, and put our place completely back together and it just came out so amazing. He did more too - fixed our decks, installed the toilets, built the shower pans as part of the tile work, installed shelving plus more - and it was all done beautifully. Bernd takes one job at a time and will travel. This was ideal for us considering Mammoth has a limited work force of subcontractors that can do this work. Bernd is not cheap, but for the work he does, itâ s more than fair. The local guys up there know they are in high demand and will throw out well above market quotes to see if you will engage them out of desperation- we felt so lucky to have found Bernd to do this work for us. Bernd travels with Teddy, a super cute Frenchie that is super well behaved and lovable. We would definitely hire Bernd (and Teddy) for our next project."

"Horribly! We hired Prodigy to help us move a few miles down the street based on all the positive reviews. We figured spending up for the best provider would be worth it. We were wrong. Very wrong. Also, an important note regarding those positive reviews: any negative reviews my husband or I write seem to disappear when viewed on incognito mode here or Yelp, so it appears they are very aggressively managing their profile and I would be leery of trusting what your read. As far as what happened -their movers either lost or stole approximately $7,000 of our belongings on a three mile move. Some of it, such as small valuables and prescriptions I could at least see the rationale of stealing. Some, such as a bunch of my clothes, seemed very odd to intentionally take, but who knows. In any event, once this was raised during the unpacking process they became very rude and confrontational. The company then offered us a $700 settlement, has not seemed apologetic at all and, as mentioned above, seems to be aggressively managing their review profile across platforms."
