"Consultation was very smooth. Never pressured into purchasing. Rod was very informative and helped me find the right product that fit in my budget. Day of installation: All employees arrived 10 mins before the window. The unit was installed the same day and the crew cleaned up like it was there own house. Very happy with the decision to use Air-Tech. Do not hesitate to use them. Friendly and I will continue to support family owned businesses."

"I found Precision Auto Works here on Angie's List.  They had great reviews and a 10% off labor coupon.  I decided to give them a try.  I pulled into the parking lot and was a little leery because it looks like you are parking next to a house.  Do not let this stop you.  You ARE supposed to park there.  Walk around the house to the back and you will find the office and see the shop.  It's a strange set up, but this place was awesome.
I have never had such great customer service from an auto mechanic.  I had an engine light on in my car and I needed an oil change.  A friend had pulled the error codes from my car and I was able to walk in with those.  The office spent several minutes with me discussing and looking up the codes.  They called the mechanic (Dave) in and he also spent quite a bit of time with me.  As a female, I have never felt so comfortable at an auto shop before.  I left my car and waited for an estimate.
A couple of hours later they had located the problem (an actuator) and gave me an estimate.  For parts, labor and a synthetic oil change, the estimate was $450.  $80 or so of that was my synthetic oil change (which is about average).   $175 was for the actuator part.  $200 for labor (with my 10% off coupon labor came to $180).  So anyway, right around $450.  Now here comes the good part.  They called a second dealership to check for the part so they could get the car back to me on the same day.  The other dealership wasn't going to have it available until the following day.  We're not sure what happened but the second dealership listed the part for $50.  They called me with the great news about the price drop and told me my car would be ready that day.  Do you know how easy it would have been for this mechanic to just charge me the full $450?  I never would have known the difference.   However, they did not do that.  They passed on the savings.  My final bill?  $301.
I felt they we're upfront and honest throughout the entire experience.  They mentioned they will be calling the first dealership to find out why they had such a huge price difference and mentioned they will not work with them in the future if they are gouging their prices.  It may have been an honest mistake somewhere along the way but either way, they are looking into it.  I love that they kept me in the loop and told me absolutely everything that was happening.  Not many shops would take the time to keep a customer so informed.
Try this place! You just might find "your" new mechanic!
**As as a side note, this experience has convinced me to renew my Angie's List membership.  I don't use the site very often but if I can find even one compnay a year that provides an experience like Precision Auto Works, then my membership pays for itself.

"It went well. He was on time. He didn't find anything wrong with my system. He said the amount of freon in the system was just right--not too much and not too little. I liked that almost no freon appeared to leak out when he connected his equipment to test the level. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions. He gave me an estimate for the cost of installing a new system. I think he hoped I would buy a new system, but I did not do so. I would buy a new system if I could convince myself that the  electricity savings would pay for the system within a reasonable number of years.

"Very positive experience with Andrew at DNA. He provided me multiple solutions to help correct our heating system issues given the age of our home. We ultimately replaced our unit and I have never seen more care taken by a contractor to help keep our home clean and free from dirt and dust. Every time DNA would enter my home they wear shoe covers; when they replaced the furnace they installed temporary plastic sheeting walls to isolate the mess from the install to a minimal area which they also cleaned after completion. As I mentioned, the cleanest contract work I have ever had. Additionally, very well mannered and great attitude. I would hire them again without shopping for quotes."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Most home boilers will need an expansion tank. That’s because these boilers are closed-loop systems, where the water is trapped. An expansion tank is needed when the boiler heats the water and it expands, allowing air to condense in the tank to make room for the water. Other types of boilers don’t use an expansion tank, such as traditional steam boilers, but these aren’t as common. And hot water tanks may be able to use a pressure release valve instead. When in doubt, call in a pro to take a look.

On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.

Many HVAC companies offer free quotes and free estimates for repairs and new HVAC systems. Others offer low-cost quotes or apply the cost of the estimates or diagnostics to your final bill if you hire them. Be aware that some companies advertise free HVAC quotes and recoup the costs by charging more for their services. Free HVAC quotes are never truly free—they cost the company time and effort—so be a good customer. Also understand that you may end up paying for free quotes in another way if you don’t hire a reputable company.

If you have a closed-system boiler that requires an expansion tank, you cannot safely operate it without one, as this risks extensive damage or even explosions. You must find a way to make room for the installation. Options include repositioning the boiler, rerouting the boiler piping to a more open area, or performing minor remodeling to create the necessary space. If you are unsure whether your boiler needs an expansion tank or how to best accommodate one, it's recommended to have a local heating service professional assess the situation. They can confirm the requirement and suggest the most practical solution.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.
