"Our experience with Green Republic Landscapes was outstanding! From the moment we contacted the company we were greeted with friendly voices and deep understanding. Motti, and his team are highly knowledgeable, creative, and professional! Their attention to detail and ability to execute their plan was above what we imagined. We felt listened to and understood! Motti ensured that he talked us through each step of the process and touched base constantly before moving on to the next step. We searched and shopped around and found that Green Repulic Lanscapes pricing is the best one on the market for all they offer and create. Small jobs welcome

"A crew of four spent 1 1/2 hours trimming, removing and cleaning up. I have a pool and several droppings ended up in it (unavoidable due to location of trees). Simon’s crew cleaned all of the debris out of the pool and cleaned up very well. I have used him in the past and will use him again."

"Excellent craftsmanship. Paramount Pavers more than exceeded my expectations. They were accommodating, professional, courteous, respectful and timely. I highly recommend Paramount Pavers for all aspects of landscaping and concrete work. They demolished a 55’ retaining wall, constructed a new wall and a new driveway. The work is impeccable. Great Company. Thank you Isaac, Rudy and Edwin for caring for my project, like it was your own."

"My previous gardener of 20 years began to take advantage of his longevity and began to do less with each visit. Last straw was when he  cut the heads off 11 sprinklers with out informing me.  Woke up to find several Old Faithful mini geysers in my yard. Called Mark as he was leaving on his honeymoon and he promptly came out to make an estimate. the very day he returned. Though he is based in Duarte and I'm  in La Crecenta he said nothing about travel time. He and his crew are excellent!

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

A green home is one that focuses on conservation, with the goal often being net-zero carbon emissions and self-sustainability. It will often include some kind of self-generation equipment, like solar panels or a small wind turbine, high-efficiency electrical components and mechanicals, and high-quality insulation and air sealing to reduce the loss of conditioned air. Many green homes also include xeriscaping or rainwater collection to cut down on drainage and water consumption.

Yes, you can landscape in the rain, but you should take some precautions to keep yourself and your tools safe. Avoid using electric landscaping tools during rainfall, and don’t mow, thatch, aerate, or rake in the rain, as your tools can more easily tear out roots in the loose soil. Be careful when working on wet grass, and take your time to avoid slipping. Avoid putting in new plants before a particularly bad storm, as heavy rain and strong winds can damage or uproot plants that aren’t yet established.

Hedge plants are available in almost every size, from seedlings to fully mature, six-foot-tall shrubs. Planting smaller plants is much easier and more cost-effective. However, it can take years for the plants to reach maturity and create a full hedge. Garden centers and specialty retailers sometimes offer three to four-foot wide plants that you can simply plant next to each other for an instant full hedge.

When planting, it's best to leave several feet between a house and a juniper bush. Many juniper varieties will become quite bushy and require space to grow. Juniper branches that come into contact with siding can damage the home's exterior over time. Also, some juniper bushes have aggressive roots that can put pressure on a home's foundation or basement walls.

You should avoid planting grass, shrubs, plants, and trees in freezing temperatures, as the ground can get frozen and become too hard for proper root growth. It’s best to plant in the fall to allow your plants to establish root systems before the first frost. Landscaping when the average temperature in your area is between 50 and 60 degrees will usually deliver the best results.
