"First visit this year, electrician found and isolated portion of the circuit that was causing the problem, plus installed two exterior light fixtures at main entrance door. Second visit Installed GFCI's required to bring home up to code for resale and installed two exterior motion sensitive light fixtures. All completed at a reasonable as quoted price in minimum time. Technician extremely competent as well as personable. If I have other electrical needs, I will call on Mr Electric"

"Short version: They ALL did a great job. All the way from the 1st call to when they left after the job was done. Long version. I had 2 AC guys out and both said there was a short in the low voltage wire running between the upstairs air handler. One AC company quoted me $1,500 to do the job. YIKES. That seemed high...very high. The 2nd AC guy said he doesn't pull wire and I needed to find an electrician to do that job and then he would return after the new wire was ran. Since our upstairs AC has been out for literally 5 days we needed someone ASAP. So, I went on Angie's List and I filled out the form and less than 2 minutes after I submitted the form my phone rang. It was Stephanie from Bolt Electricity. I told her our dilemma and much to my surprise she scheduled their rep, Daniel, to come out here between 10am - 1PM. He got here around 11:00AM. I showed him what was needed, we discussed some options. He reviewed the situation and gave me a quote. A quote that made me nearly fall out of my chair. I said yes and when could he get someone out here to run the wires? He called their scheduler and they understood our situation, rearranged some jobs and said they could get two guys out here in a few hours. WOW. Almost fell out of my chair a 2nd time. Those two very polite and professional techs (Will and Matt) came right on time and got to work. And they did a fantastic job. And before they started to put the wire in the conduit, they called me out there and explained what they wanted to do and to get my approval. They then went back to work and finished up. Ok, let me wrap this up. They did a fantastic job, the work looks great and my wife and I could not be happier! Sorry about the gushing but when your AC is out in the summer in AZ and it gets fixed...well, you understand. Everyone at Bolt Electric treated us like we matter and did a fantastic job."

"Great response time and very professional! I had a nasty bout with a swarm of ants that kept tripping an outlet outside that powered my internet fiber-optics box. It tripped so many times that finally the reset button was no longer curing the issue. Brenton came out to look at it and quickly confirmed the outlet was in fact working and no repairs were required. I have been looking for a company I can keep on file for electrical work and now I have one. Will refer to family and friends for sure."

Small jobs welcome

"James is super professional and honest. He explained us exactly what we need and why we didn't need to have a complete change of electric cables in the house, not like other companies that where giving us estimates for electrical jobs we were not needing. Definitely will recommend him to my family and friends."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Queen Creek’s intense summer heat can strain electrical panels and wiring, making regular maintenance crucial. Monsoon storms often bring lightning and power surges, so surge protection is highly recommended. For outdoor projects, use UV-rated materials to withstand the strong Arizona sun, and schedule attic or exterior work during cooler months to ensure both safety and longevity of your electrical system.

Helpful?

After completing electrical projects in Queen Creek, arrange a final inspection with the local building department and keep all related permits and inspection records for future reference. Inform your HOA if your neighborhood requires it, especially for visible upgrades like outdoor lighting or electrical panel upgrades. It’s also smart to schedule routine electrical system checks before summer, as high heat can impact home wiring and overall system reliability.

Helpful?

In Queen Creek, if you notice circuit breakers tripping when major appliances run, persistent flickering lights, or GFCI outlets that won’t reset, these are clear signs of electrical issues. Problems isolated to your home—especially near pools or outdoor living spaces—typically indicate the need for professional electrical work rather than general repairs. Always prioritize safety and consult a licensed electrician for these concerns.

Helpful?

Homes in Queen Creek built before 2000, or those experiencing frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or lacking GFCI outlets, are strong candidates for electrical upgrades. If you plan to install an EV charging station, add outdoor lighting, or notice outlets feeling warm, your home likely needs updated wiring or an electrical panel upgrade to support modern appliances and increased energy demands.

Helpful?

When planning electrical projects in Queen Creek, consider local permit requirements, HOA guidelines, and the area’s rapid residential growth. Many homes need extra circuits for backyard kitchens, pool equipment, or well pumps. Take advantage of Arizona’s energy efficiency incentives, and schedule projects during cooler months to avoid system overloads and ensure contractors are more readily available for home wiring or panel upgrades.
