"Bobby and his guys from Reno Guys are the best around... They redid my whole pack patio, built me an outdoor tower bar, enclosed my front porch, and redid have off my damaged roof. Every job they have done at my house has been very well done. Reno guys always beats my own expectations. I recommend them with 10 stars if I could!!"

Customers say: Terrific value

"Ninja Builders called me within seconds of my HomeAdvisor request to confirm the appointment. I appreciated this promptness. Also, Michael called to keep me posted of the timing of his arrival (I had been given a window of time initially) and I also greatly value that. He arrived when he said he would, was courteous, and helpful. Although I did not hire them because the problem was not what I thought it was - Michael helped me understand what was going on and didn't sell me something I didn't need. If I have need for a contractor in the future, I will call Ninja."

"TDC, Inc. rescued us from a poor quality tile installation in my bath and did the job right. Super nice, friendly, and professional. Here on time with text notifications. Constant updates and firm deadlines. Neat and tidy as well. Always asked for input; always gave good direction. We are truly thankful and would gladly recommend Bill's crew--Jeff and Ernie. My heroes!!"

"He is an extremely gifted craftsman. Far above the average person in his line of work. My only negative comment would be that other people think that too, so sometimes it is hard to get a hold of him. He is absolutely honest, incredibly talented with very good craftsmanship. He made it through our project at the worst of times, but we absolutely love all of it. He treats all of his customers like family. He really engages with his clients and addresses the human side. All around I give him the highest marks. He is in his own way an artist, excellent and extremely honest."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

The average cost of DIY window framing is about $40 to $60 in materials. If you hire a window treatment professional, you’ll pay for materials plus labor costs—anywhere from $250 to $800 per window. The final cost is highly dependent on the window size, as larger windows are heavier and more difficult to install, as well as the type of window framing material.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.

For a professional carpenter, installing a window seat can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on some aspects of the project. Aside from building the seat itself, if they have to remove any cabinets, shelves, or baseboards, that will add time to the project.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.
