"The pros: good yard clean up. The cons: google â lion tailedâ regarding trees. This company removed the lower and middle canopies from some mature trees on my property. These trees will never recover those lower limbs, will only grow **suckers** now, and more growth at the top. Rather than thinning out the inside and removing dead wood, and taking branches back to an intersection, whole large branches/limbs were removed. This type of cut makes a tree top heavy (not something a native desert tree does well), and ensures that new growth is weak and prone to storm damage. Also, some branches werenâ t cut at a proper angle close to intersection or trunk, but jutting out several inches, making the trees more prone to rot. After speaking with an arborist, my option is to let the trees rest for a year and then have someone thin out the crown (which is all thatâ s left), fix the improper cuts which encourage rot, and let suckers grow and train them to look like branches. This might buy the trees some years, but they will never fully recover or be what they should have been: strong desert trees with a lower/mid/upper canopy. Conclusion: hire only certified arborists to prune your trees (my mistake). Hire Q and T for shrubs and yard cleanup."
