Update:  I hired AZ Cactus & Trees again this year (2014) to trim the tree that had mistletoe.  Another fantastic job

Did the job and cleaned up afterwards.  My neighbor had them do their trees also and seemed to be pleased with their work

We spent about $500. They were prompt and great.

It went okay. They didn’t put in the plants in the deal but they did put in some other plants. She was supposed to come back, bring another tree for us to purchase and have her install, but we never heard from her again.

I was impressed with the entire experience, from Patricia's initial visit to estimate the job through the cleanup.

It went very well. Their botanist, Patricia, provided an overview of what needed attention as well as other advice for proper care. Her staff did a very good job and made sure I was satisfied prior to leaving.

The arborist not only talked about plants but also gave suggestions for improving the garden.  I am very glad her expertise was part of the Angie's list package I purchased.  
The gardeners looked like they knew what they were doing.  They made sure that the mesquite was hooked up properly to the drip irrigation system. Doing this wasn't mentioned in the package. 
The mesquite was pruned to be a bit more vertical than I expected, but that could be because I mentioned it would be great if it provided a good deal of shade. 
Overall, very satisfied.

Very prompt and on time. Arrived more quickly than I imagined. Pleasant and cooperative guys who did the work. Tree looks great and the cactus is moved. Patricia very professional and knowledegabel

They were very timely and thorough. We had one issue where they backed into the electrical box and we shared the expense of getting it repaired. The only problem we see now is the cacti in the front of the house (barrel and saguaro) appear to have been damaged by whatever chemicals were used and we're afraid they might be dying from the exposure.

I set an appointment and when I printed out the deal it showed it had another year left. The employee who called me was knowledgeable and wonderful but I don’t know why she harassed me and told me it was going to expire when it still had a year.

They went to work on the irrigation leak immediately and found three breaks which were repaired and reburied. The wiring problem involved a section of wire where the insulation was wearing off, so they cut out the worn length and connected good wire to good wire. The solenoid apparently just needed to have the air bled out and then it was fine. I had been told by another source that it would need replacing, so I was glad to hear that it needed nothing more. This is the second time I've called AZ Cactus and Tress to come out - the first was for tree trimming. These guys are hard working and neither Patricia nor her employees try to sell me things I don't need. Also they worked me into their schedule when other irrigation companies were scheduling over a week out - I really appreciate that!

There were no additional charges. They were two expensive for us. The service was okay. I do not think that we would use them again; I cannot afford them.

Aborist came to house and walked the yard, gave me idea of problem areas.  She indicated my coupon for $149 would pay to prune fruit trees.  Also said I had several other tree problems in the yard, which we discussed extensively.  She was to come back to my yard later in the week to look it over carefully and then give me a written plan of attack that we could work on over the next several months.  She also indicated she would call me and let me know when her crew was coming out.
The next day I came home and the job had been done - poorly. (no call)  Even suckers near the base of the trees had not been cut out, but either topped or ignored completely.  The old supports were still there.  I was very disappointed in what they did for $149.  I never heard from them again until I called several weeks later asking for the "plan", when I was told she thought I was going to call when I was ready to do it.   Can't do it until I know what it is.   Made an appointment for aborist to come to my house at 5:30 that next week.  At 5:20 she called to see if I was home and to let me know she would be there in about 45 min.   I had another appointment that evening, so couldn't stay and wait for her at this point.
I then called to reschedule the appointment for about two weeks out at 5:00.    I left a message for her at 4:00 that day reminding her, but never heard from her, nor did she show up for the appointment
I now have $149 into a poorly done pruning job, and have waited over a month to get  important things accomplished with my trees .  I am very disappointed to be in this position.

I was disappointed with the initial appointment with the arborist. The appointment was scheduled at 8am for an estimate. By 9am the arborist had not arrived at the property. I had to call her to verify the appointment.  She was with another client with an emergency irrigation problem. I would have liked to have a courtesy phone call from the arborist saying she was going to be late. Hence the rating of C for Responsiveness and B for Punctuality.

•  When she came, we walked around the property and gave me quotes to remove 4 trees, 3 cacti, and trim 2 trees and said the work can be done the following day. I scheduled the work for the following day to start  between 7am-8am. The next day I received a phone call from Ivan at 8am saying he was at the property and if he could start the work. I said yes. I met with Ivan and we did a walk through on the property. Ivan was very professional and courteous. There was another worker, George, who also worked on the property. George left for a while and Ivan was there by himself doing all the cutting down and trimming. I would check on Ivan every so often to see if he was okay working in the hot sun. Ivan was very easy to talk to and I asked him if he could also cut down one more tree. He did so with the approval of the arborist. When George came back, Ivan was done cutting and trimming the trees. Ivan and George loaded all the cut trees and cacti and debris into a trailer and raked up the yard. They left the yard in better condition than it was when they first got there.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted in my yard.  Patricia came out and made some suggestions.   Once I decided I gave her a call and then within about a week her crew came out.   They worked pretty efficiently and cleaned up everything afterwards.  They were there about three hours maybe.  They were all pleasant and answered any questions I had.

The job was done to my satisfaction.

It was generally a good experience except for the fact that one of my plants was mistakenly taken out and when I asked why, the person replanted it after figuring out he had pulled the wrong one out.  Well that plant died.  I spoke to the owner about the situation and she was not very responsive.  I have called her several times and left her a message but have yet to hear back.  I finally bought another one myself and planted it because I have not heard from her and don't expect to at this point. 

a bit of difficulty getting the estimator to come to give the estimate, she forgot one appointment, and I had to call her back a few months later when an appropriate window for the work came up.
The actual workers were a bit late showing up in the afternoon and had to work into the dark to complete the work
this resulted in them leaving one of their power saws in my back yard and they didn't come by to pick it up until a week after we told them about it.
I was however very satisfied with the work. My yard was much better looking.
So I would use them again the next time I need similar work.
But I would be active in communicating with them.

I had a palo verde tree that was near a circular drive through and was impeding traffic from higer clearence vehicles.  The goal was to trim it up; clean it up.  The owner came to make the branches she felt should be trimmed.  The crew showed up the next day and trimmed those as well several others that needed to be timmed to meet the primary objective.  It always seemed like they were in a bit of a hurry.  Consequently, I was out there the next day doing more trimming of branches they should have gotten to.  Nice enough crew, but they didn't install confidence in me.

They were responsive and were there on time. The work was done great and they were good about follow up.

The owner seems to be somewhat disorganized. I set up a time with her to come out to see what could be done for my coupon.  She called about 2 days later and said she would be out that afternoon (not our scheduled time)- did not appear to remember we had already planned.   She stated she had the best" irrigation person, altough young, and he would do that work before any planting, which did make great sense.  She would call me to set up the time.  I waited and waited - The irigation person called about 5p.m.- wasn't coming because there wasn't any daylight left (???). The next story was that his driver had to leave to pick up kids. They showed up (without my knowledge).  I had to leave to buy something they needed for the irrigation system and they began planting the trees.I had them reset the timer,etc for the system.  They planted the ocotillo,which appeared to be dead.  The owne had told me she had an "absolutely beautiful" one for me.  When I told the 2 fellows I did not have a good feeling about the ocotillo, they explained it looked that way because of transplant issues. It would be beautiful by monsoons.  I called th owner who stated her policy was 3 months on provided plants.  My time would be up before the monsoons began.
The irrigation system did not turn on at the set time. I waited for the next set time, then called the owner to say there was still a problem. She said it was the timer and I would have to pay for new one, but she would not charge me for labor or a trip charge- had to get VERY FIRM with her -     if the problem hadbeen fixed initially, there would have not been a second trip. She got very huffy and said we should just call it a day and I could get someon else!  I was unhappy to have to pay for the timer at this point because of the exra time for me - but did .  I called Angie's list and  explained my issues. They did a review on te phone  which was NOT published. WHY?? They came out and realized they also needed an electrician!  The system appeas to be finally working!
Ocotillo? I had to call because it was now at a 45 degree angle.  I was afraid for safety issues, since it was in the front yard.    They came back ou and said it had not been planted deep enough or placed correctly.
They made no money on me...and I would NEVER use them again!
