"Chris and the crew did a fantastic job. They removed our carpets and installed new ceramic tiles. Their quote was very good and they finished their work in less than 2 days, super fast comparing to other companies estimating 4+ days. Quality is excellent. i will be using them again. "Matt was the owner and he came over for the initial quote. He was very kind and thorough with his estimate and answered all of our questions. Chris was the installer he worked very hard and did such a great job. He cleaned up the mess every night and made sure to clean up during the process as well. He did a great job and we are extremely satisfied with the work. Chris finished installing Stackstone as kitchen backsplash and put up luxury vinyl flooring above the cabinets and he put in Stackstone on all of the soffits and then we did one accent wall of the luxury vinyl. The end result is amazing it feels like a cabin!! We will definitely be calling back if we want to add any more stone to our house!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

For ceramic tile service projects in the AZ climate, choose materials that withstand extreme heat. Porcelain tiles offer better heat resistance than standard ceramic. It's also best to use epoxy grout to resist hard water stains and flexible thin-set mortars that accommodate thermal expansion. Proper expansion joints are essential to prevent cracking from the region's significant temperature swings, ensuring a durable installation.

Helpful?

Your home's structure in Mesa can complicate ceramic tile service projects if you have a post-tension slab foundation, which requires special installation methods. Other complicating factors include radiant heat systems or wall cracks that suggest movement from expansive soil. Proximity to a pool deck also demands specific waterproofing and drainage considerations to ensure a successful and long-lasting tile installation.

Helpful?

Immediate ceramic tile service projects in Mesa are necessary for safety hazards like loose tiles or any signs of water intrusion, especially before monsoon season. Cracks indicating foundation settling from clay soil also require urgent attention. Purely cosmetic updates, such as fixing minor chips or changing styles, can safely wait for the cooler fall or winter months when humidity is lower.

Helpful?

In Mesa, AZ, it's time for ceramic tile service projects when you see cracked tiles, which can result from the area's expansive clay soil. Other signs include grout discoloration caused by hard water mineral buildup or if your home has dated, builder-grade tile from the 1980s-2000s. Scheduling work before the July monsoon season is also a smart move to address potential water damage risks.

Helpful?

Previous ceramic tile service projects in your Mesa home may need redoing if you spot a white, chalky residue called efflorescence, common due to mineral-rich water. Also look for tile "tenting," where tiles push upward from heat, or crumbling grout from hard water deposits. Gaps and cracks from Mesa's extreme temperature swings are another clear indicator that a professional should assess the installation.
