"The two to three month project took about three months longer than expected, during which time we were mostly w/o a place to cook, and the kitchen area was mostly unusable. The sorts of problems we encountered included: 1. Counter installed sloping toward back wall (and never corrected). 2. Counter top delivered with chip that had been "fixed" with the an epoxy that looked like chewing gum. The head installer blamed underlings who used the wrong product and after two months of asking & waiting, the problem was finally fixed. 3. Poor planning of installation of light fixtures, so we have a somewhat odd pattern of ceiling cans. 4. The sink was incorrectly installed, so it started to separate from its undermount. It took two tries over a couple of weeks to get it correctly installed. 5. Extractor hood installation was delayed due to an error in ordering. 6. The countertop style was not what we not what we originally selected, and Cook Remod was unable to provide any paperwork for the countertop purchase that might indicate where the mistake was made. 7. They twice tried to bill us for the installation of the water heater as additional work, but it was clearly identified in the original plan. In remodeling, one often gets into a game of assigning blame due to changes in plans. The major delay that was not directly the fault of Cook Remodeling was the discovery of plumbing leaks, which led us to have them re-pipe the house. I would estimate that work added a delay of one week. An underlying problem seems to be mediocre staff or subcontractors."

"Great company to work with! They are very thorough and detailed, yet able to be flexible. When our first idea did not look good in the drawings, they came up with an even better idea. All trades - framing, roofing, plumbing, painting, electrical - were impressive in their knowledge and quality."

This bathroom showcases a stunning blend of luxurious and modern design elements. The focal point is a sophisticated walk-in shower with bold, marble-patterned tiles on the walls, complemented by a pebble-style mosaic tile floor. The shower is enclosed with frameless glass, providing a seamless and open feel. Built-in niches offer functional storage, while a corner bench adds convenience. Metallic fixtures, including a rainfall showerhead and handheld attachment, complete the shower’s elegant

"Everybody looking for remodeling/repair services should at least meet with Regal Bath and Kitchens. We utilized Regal Bath and Kitchens for our remodeling project. Our project consisted of flooring throughout our home and a total kitchen remodel. After speaking with five other contractors, and only wanting to bang our heads against the wall afterward, we found Rich, Jim and the crew from Regal. My wife and I had high expectations for our project and to say that the team met those expectations is an understatement. Rich and Jim took the time to meet with us time and time again to triple check our choices for cabinets and overall flow of the design. The project completed smoothly, on time, and right inline with our quote. We will be using Regal Bath and Kitchens again in the future."

"WOW, WOW, and WOW!!! Dana and his crew did a fantastic job! They arrived on time and did what they said they would. The crown molding was really the "crowning touch" for our home. We had no idea how plaln everything looked until it was completed. (I will be adding photos)...EVery room looks gorgeous. The real "Crowning touch" is the way all the corners look, They stand out and really add a decorative touch to the rooms. They moved furniture and did not make any demands on us to be furniture movers etc. Then after, they cleaned up and put everything back the way it was. (I can't get house painters to do that) You really will not be disappointed if you call them."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

When planning a general remodeling project, it's important to define the scope of work, understand your goals, and set a clear, detailed budget. You should also assess the current structure and consult with professionals like architects or contractors. Create a realistic timeline for each phase, obtain any necessary permits, and build in contingency plans for potential delays or unforeseen issues. Regular communication with all involved parties is crucial to streamline the process.

There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.

After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.

The costs depend on the type of wood, labor, roofing material, permits, and whether additional storage or enclosed walls are included.

Yes, you can finance cottage construction through several options. Construction loans provide funds in stages as work progresses, while home equity loans or lines of credit are available if you have existing property. Some lenders offer a combined construction and permanent mortgage. Always review loan terms and payment milestones before committing.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.
