"We want to compliment the work of Matt Hurlburt of Reddi Services. He came to check out our a/c unit which possibly needed a drip pan replacement. Rather than sell us on a new pan, he suggested repairing it and it would be serviceable for years to come. When I mentioned that another technician had said the drain pipes were going uphill causing standing water, he said that the pipes were just sagging and suggested propping them up with some wood. He saved us hundreds of dollars. Our other unit was out at the time and another vendor had told us that the compressor went out. He gave us a second opinion and said that the compressor was fine and that the unit was just low on freon. That saved us several thousand dollars! If it hadn’t been for Matt Hurlburt, we would have been duped into replacing a perfectly good compressor and drip pan. We appreciate his honesty and excellent workmanship. Matt will forever be our first call on any and all future air conditioning and plumbing needs. Reddi Services is truly blessed to have someone as ethical as Matt Hurlburt representing your company. We were referred to Reddi Services by two different people and they were right when they said you were a very good company. Honesty and integrity is hard to come by in this world, Reddi Services had is it Matt Hurlburt. Thank you so much! The Wright Family."

"After attempting to fix a slow leak from a bathroom sink valve ourselves, we contacted George Brazil Plumbing and Electric Tuesday night to properly seat our faucet and fix our own repair. We booked an appointment that evening for Wednesday afternoon and went to bed that night with the water off to prevent water damage from the leak. Promptly at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, George Brazil contacted us and told us the serviceman would be arriving shortly. Later on we met an extremely personable plumber who was nothing if not professional and we asked for an estimate on our problem as well as a few other minor fixes in other rooms. We were shocked to hear that a single faucet and valve replacement was $600.00 plus parts and that another shower handle would add on $1300.00. We were in a tight spot and needed the work done so we agreed to 1 faucet and asked the man to use the valves we provided and the feeder hoses that came with our already purchased faucet replacement. He told us that he would prefer to use his own parts to allow for a 1 year warranty so each valve replacement was $100.00 and the faucet installation was $400.00. With tax and cost of labor it came to $675.00 after the $35.00 coupon from Angie's list. All in all, it was successful and we are pleased with the work but not the price. I highly suggest you look elsewhere for incidental repairs and replacements, and always buy your new faucets and fixtures from Home Depot or Costco and not the service truck. That alone would have added $300.00 to our already high bill.

"Ace had installed an A/C unit for me about 7-8 years ago and that was the unit that broke down. The good: The tech was friendly, knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. He was very helpful in helping me get this covered by my home warranty company. The bad: 1) Tech showed up 5 to 6 hours later than originally scheduled. I don't have a problem with that but needed to put a bad grade on it. 2) The office was difficult to work with in getting their cooperation in working with my home warranty company. Their policy is that they do not work with home warranty companies. Eventually they were cooperative given that I was paying for the services and that my home warranty company would reimburse me. 3) The pricing was outrageous in my opinion. I paid $950 for 2 capacitors, a spliced wire and about 1 to 1.5 hours of labor. I understand there is a bunch of overhead cost and labor costs, however, $950 seems to be excessively high. Fortunately my home warranty company covered this cost. In summary, I was mostly disappointed in the high cost given that I was a previous customer. I was also disappointed with the difficulty I had in getting them to cooperate with my home warranty company when there was no risk of financial payment to Ace. I will not use Ace for any of my homes in the future."

"Plumbzona pulled my tub and replaced it with a shower. The work was done when he said it would be and it was done right the first time. We are very happy with plumbzona and will definitely use them again for my plumbing needs."

FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Coolidge, AZ

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.

Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.

You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
