"I cannot say enough about Tree Logic and the excellent service they provided. We purchased a home that needed trees removed immediately. Not only did they offer quick response times, the job was done swiftly, correctly, and the clean up was stellar. In the past we have had to clean up after hired crews but not Tree Logic. I could tell they really take pride in their work! Will use again, and have already recommended to several friends! Amazing company!"

"We have used this service for many years at 3 different properties. This time we were told that their minimum tree service was $650. We only have one tree at the address that required work. $650 was twice what we had paid for this service in the past. I guess we will look for a new service for this address."

"Great work! Quickly removed the trees and took the time to cut down the roots below the ground. Cleaned up meticulously. Wouldn't even know there were trees there. Would definitely hire again."

"I liked Luis customer service and communication. I was really pleased with his craftsmanship. I was quite surprised by how well they did. The paver work where they extended my patio was outstanding. Luis put astroturf down for me and made sure it was level and high quality."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

The costs vary from $250 to $5,000 per tree, depending on the size, complexity of the trimming, and labor.

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.

The best way is to start controlling tree height long before it grows too large, via careful pruning through the years. But that’s not always possible. If a tree has become too high or too large, use selective pruning to remove the most troublesome branches, one by one, without topping the tree. Gently shaping a tree like this can, over time, correct problems. You can also find growth inhibitors to spray on a tree to stop it from growing too rapidly, but use these sparingly if at all.

No. Topping a tree refers to severely cutting down all its major branches and tree in a straight line. It was once recommended for streetside deciduous trees but has fallen out of practice. Topping leads to many problems, removing so much of the tree that many trees struggle to survive and become much more vulnerable to insects and diseases. Also, it doesn’t really help tree growth as once assumed and often leads to an ugly appearance of many sprouting stems in competition to become new main branches.
