"We order three casement/picture windows to replace the one big picture window on March 18, 2014.  They came out took measurement for the new windows.  They gave us a time period of approximately eight weeks for the new windows; which was accurate.
They were on time and professional.  They did an outstanding job of installing the new windows and taking out the old picture window.  The price we paid was fair; it was less than what we expect to paid for replacing the old picture window.
We have been customers of Wasco since 1997, and always had excellent service.

"I was 110% satisfied with the entire window project. From start to finish, everyone involved in the project was professional, friendly, and skilled. I had 6 windows replaced with renewals and all other windows wrapped to match. The windows are quality, the trim that the installers put up is beautiful, and every last detail was covered...including every little nail hole covered in matching putty. The wrap put on my older windows looks great, with a quality caulking job. Every one of my windows has been improved. I highly recommend Renewal by Anderson and Heritage Window and Glass in Superior Wis."

"We need just one (1) window replaced because moisture was starting to trap and replace some latches. They came in super quick to see what was up, quoted us on the spot, and then when we confirmed they could do it were back very soon to do the job. The best part was that they were cool with only doing the one window; most places charge you for a whole house/$x,xxx minimum etc. Will be recommending them to everyone"

"We had two windows replaced and they look great. We had old, outdated, drafty windows, and now we have beautiful, secure, functional and high quality windows that have kept in the warmth this winter! The windows that we ended up getting have features that we didn't have before and we love it all - the ability to move the screen up and down, easy tilting options to make cleaning the windows so easy, locking mechanisms, etc. The ordering process was easy, and staff were friendly."

"Window install went well. Main problem was we wanted an additional window installed and this company will only replace windows not install new ones (However small, simple or straightforward the install)."

"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

Windows questions, answered by experts

There are many signs to look out for that tell you it’s time to replace a double-hung window. If the window is drafty and inefficient, you may need a new window to block out air leaks and keep your utility bills from skyrocketing. Other signs that it’s time to replace a window include foggy glass, soft or broken window frames, or window sashes that won’t open or close easily.

Actually, condensation can mean that your windows are more energy efficient because the seal keeps cold air out and warm air in. In some cases, windows with poor seals can lead to more condensation, but they may allow the cold and warm air to mix and reduce condensation. If you’re worried about whether or not your windows are properly insulated, have a pro assess them.

There are a few reasons your crank windows might not close. First, determine if your window crank is working properly and opening and closing the window when you turn it. If it’s not, the crank may need replacing, cleaning, or lubricating. Another reason your windows aren’t closing could be dirt and debris in the window hinges or sash. Finally, make sure your window lock operator is set in the unlocked position and isn’t blocking the window from fully closing. If you’re still having trouble closing your window, it may be worth consulting a local window contractor.

Generally speaking, you should clean your windows and any associated fixtures and treatments every six months. Otherwise, clean them as needed to keep everything running smoothly. If you live in a part of the country with especially hard water, you may have to clean them three or four times per year, and the same goes for areas where insects, pollen, dirt, and other debris can soil your windows and potentially cause issues with the moving parts.

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.
