"Tom and Superior Carpet Cleaning did a great job with our basement and stairs. Communication was timely, expectations clear and pricing was reasonable. The space hadn't been cleaned for a number of years and he was able to remove the grime and moved furniture as needed. I've seen the comments on not using steam...but we didn't have any issues and there's a plus in not having hoses run through an open door for hours."

"Needed carpet cleaned in family room and staircase. Was able to meet our schedule and arrived as promised and completed cleaning in a timely fashion. Drying was a little long and buckling resulted in several areas which was corrected by our vacumming over several days otherwise our rating would have been a 5."

"Kevin was very professional and so easy to work with! His estimate was beyond fair, much less than I anticipated. Very accommodating when he scheduled the job and arrived on time to complete the work. Kevin removed my old crumbling chimney and replaced it with a new B Vent. He cleaned up the entire area and removed all old bricks. I couldnâ t be happier with his work! I will definitely recommend All For One Chimney!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Hiring a professional house cleaner costs between $120 and $240 per visit. Most homeowners can expect to pay an average of $170 for a cleaning and disinfecting service. House cleaning services may include disinfection of high-touch surfaces, but it’s best to ask your cleaner to be sure it’s included in their services.

You should consider doing a few things on your own that fall under the category of “good house cleaner etiquette” to prepare for your house cleaner. These include tidying counters, floors, and other surfaces, taking care of the dishes, moving laundry to the laundry room or a dedicated laundry basket, and putting away personal and private items. Think of your house cleaner as someone who brings your home from relatively tidy to organized and clean, and you should have no issues.

Clutter and disorganization can make even a clean house seem dirty. Decluttering unused items will make your home seem cleaner, and putting storage solutions into place will give a house a more organized look and feel. Other things that can make a house feel dirty include stained or faded carpets and upholstery, dirty or dingy walls, chipped paint, and disorganized shelves.

If you don’t want to use dishwasher pods, you can use liquid or powder dishwasher detergent or dishwasher tablets. Alternatively, you can make a DIY dish detergent by putting two or three drops of liquid dishwashing soap in the dispenser and filling the rest with baking soda. You should never use laundry detergent, household all-purpose cleaners, or a full dispenser of liquid dish detergent.

You can clean your bathroom like a professional by keeping your cleaning tools and products organized and having a cleaning plan or routine. Most cleaning pros start by dusting and sweeping first and applying cleaning solutions. You should let the solutions sit in your bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet, and wipe everything down with fresh cleaning cloths. A final mop gives the finishing touch.
