"I just wanted to share how incredible it was dealing with Ari and Elijah. Years ago they did a great job on my roof. This week a storm somehow pulled a few shingles off. I called Ari and Elijah, they sent someone out sameday to fix it, all under warranty, no fights, no hassle. EXEMPLARY."

"Vic, showed a good understanding of structures while earthquake retrofitting my 1929 home, during the framing phase he made of good suggestions so the space would work better, for instance he warned me the kitchenette layout was not going to work and suggested a change. Also Vic was flexible to work with added activities that where not in the original plans. We truly appreciate Vic help in our basement project."

"With in 24 hours of contacting Ward he was out to our house and reviewed what we were wanting to do to this master bathroom.  Ward was very open to what our wants were and reviewing what is possible.  He allowed us to have the design we wanted.  Once project was started we had the same construction worker here everyday and on time.  Jim was the worker and I can not say how pleased we were with his detailed work.
Project was to remove garden tub, large window, and small shower.  Tear out tile flooring, existing duel sink and vanity and toilet.  And raise a ceiling beam.
A Large fully tiled and glassed in shower was built in. Shower has 3 wall body sprays, ceiling rain head and a hand held sprayer. Shower floor has rock flooring.  All grout is epoxy grouting. New pantry and vanity was installed. Silistone counter top and vessel sinks installed.  And new flooring.  Chair height toilet also installed.
Only sub contracted work plumbing and electrical.  Cabinet built by Canyon Creek in Monroe
I highly recommend Jim who is the construction worker.  He was very professional, timely and always communicated with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.
I could send e message to Ward and knew I would get a rapid response.  Received timely communication on billing.  Billing was done in segments and with an over and under billing. So we knew how much project was costing. No surprises.
I would and will use these folks again.

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

To qualify as a guest house, a structure needs to meet your local building code requirements. In some locations, a guest house must be a separate residence from the primary home. In other locations, you may be able to connect the two buildings and still call the second building a guest house. However, a structure doesn’t often need a minimum size to qualify as a guest house.

Building a house is generally more expensive upfront than moving an existing one. However, the total cost depends on factors such as location, size, materials, labor, and permits. Moving a house can incur significant expenses for transportation, permits, site preparation, and renovations. On the other hand, building a new house allows for customization and may have lower long-term maintenance costs.

Prefab kits like a small sunroom for around $20,000 or even a basic gazebo roof for as little as $60 can save you big over professional installation. However, you lose the option for customization, and these structures tend not to last nearly as long. As for bigger projects like a deck or patio, you shouldn’t go with the DIY route unless you’re fully prepped with the tools and know-how to get it done right. Mistakes can be frustrating and costly, so choose a pro if you’re looking to eliminate your risk of error.

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

While sheds are most certainly helpful for most homeowners, unfortunately, sheds do not add value to a home or property in the traditional sense. However, if the home has limited storage or garage space, having a shed to store things like decorations or lawn equipment can certainly be a positive if you want to sell.
