"He was very fast, and I was thinking how is that possible but everything went really well and it looks nice.  It did take 24 hours to dry which I was not expecting, so that was the only thing."

"I hired Adrian to replace tile floors and install a new toilet, and he did a wonderful job. He and Pat were punctual, worked efficiently, were courteous, and showed a passion and attention to detail that I appreciated. Adrian suggested tile layouts that I hadn't considered and liked, and handled setbacks in stride, keeping the timeline: demolition was complicated by a hidden layer of vinyl flooring, and the toilet that I wanted to install was damaged during shipment. I would definitely recommend First Choice Grout and Tile."

"Todd and his associate protected the floors with mats and the walls and any other nearby surfaces with drop cloths, so that there would be no mess. He not only repaired the damage but sealed one small countertop complimentary to see if we liked it. He followed up soon afterwards to see if we were happy with the results. He did a great job and we are very happy with the results."

"I am glad that I have found someone that I can always go back to. He explained the entire process, what can be done and what should be done. He was very thorough and knowledgeable on roofs and gutters and how it affects the foundation of the home. He was the only person willing to repair my gutters as I did not need new ones, I just needed one fixed. I ended up getting them cleaned and my roof cleaned for a very reasonable price."

"The service went well. They were able to clean the parts of the home I needed cleaned within the 4 hour time frame. Two people came out for the service and brought their own cleaning supplies. The vacuum they did use did not clean the rugs very well. They did have to come out quite a way to get to me so I would not hire them again because of how much the travel fee would be. They did fine work and I had no problem scheduling the service."

"I discovered that water was seeping behind the tile in my bathroom and causing serious damage. I started demoing the bathroom and realized the job was more than I could handle on my own. I had hired Kelly a last year in our kitchen remodel (new tile floors, new granite countertops, removing some cabinets, etc.), and he had done a fantastic job. So I called Kelly again to take a look.
Kelly came over, assessed the damage and told me how he would go about fixing it. I asked him for an estimate and we went from there.
I picked out the tub and tile and Home Depot and Kelly went to work, putting in new drywall (where I had cut too much out in the demolition process) and the new tub. He tiled it and gave suggestions to my wife and I on how things could be done, but was no-pressure...he just told us what other customers often chose and why. After following most of his suggestions on our kitchen remodel earlier and being very happy with the results, we followed his suggestions this time as well for 2 shelves instead of 1 shelf opposite the showerhead (and now we're glad we did).
Kelly did the job in a timely manner and did high quality work. I loved the fact that my wife and kids liked him and felt fine with him being in the house when I was at the office. He is a nice person, a hard worker, and gets the job done right. After having been screwed over by some guys who painted our cabinets years ago, I will only work with contractors that keep their word, that don't switch things on you, and that are honest and fair in their dealings with clients/customers. Kelly is gold and I would trust him to do any work on our house needed that he can do (because if he doesn't know how to do something confidently, he's honest enough to tell you that and stick to what he's good at ... which is most everything!).
All in all, we're happy with our new bathroom and would recommend Kelly as a great contractor for any work needing done in remodeling or repair work."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

Permit requirements to clear land vary by municipality, so whether or not you need permits depends on where you live and what you’re removing from the land. Some building departments will require permits for any underground work or excavation, meaning grinding down tree stumps on your property would require permits. Others mandate individual permits for each tree you remove. You can contact your local building department or a land-clearing specialist near you to see if permits are necessary for your job.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

To prepare for a land survey, you must thoroughly check your land surveyor’s qualifications, reviews, and fees to align with your expectations. When it is time for the survey to be conducted, ensure that you have all your documents organized and available, know and mark your property lines, and inform your neighbors that the survey is happening.
