Clint and his team did a phenomenal job with our kitchen floor, and was very flexible when my schedule had to change. Will hire them again!

Ardelean Construction installed a solid hickory floor in my house. Within 3?4 months, the floor buckled and lifted in multiple spots. A certified NWFA inspector confirmed the cause was improper installation: staples were used instead of cleats, spacing was off, and many staples didn?t even penetrate the subfloor. Some were twisted and provided no hold. The proper fastener for hickory is 15-gauge cleats, not staples. When I raised this with Emanuel (the owner), he admitted he couldn?t cover the $8k job and suggested I try to collect from his bond. That is not how bonds work and it shows a lack of accountability. Bottom line: the work failed fast, the response was inadequate, and I?m left with the mess. Do not hire this contractor. Photos show the buckled flooring before and after removal. I pulled up part of the failed section to check the subfloor myself ? it was sound. The problem was installation, not the house.

I can’t recommend Clint and Footprint Floors any higher. We were feeling a little stressed with getting our tile kitchen floor installed and Clint made the whole process easy, and stress free. We had an old home with a non ideal subfloor. Josh was the installer, and he is a 10/10. The job was bid for 2-3 days but ended up taking about 6 due to a rotten subfloor. Instead of cutting corners as most would do, Josh replaced the subfloor and took the necessary time to make sure the floor was level and that the job was done right vs fast. Josh has an amazing attention for detail, and we couldn’t be more happy with how the floor turned out. Hire Clint and Josh if you want a perfect floor install for a very fair price.
