- Washington Energy ServicesThe initial call out and estimate from Eric, one of their managers, was great, and he also provided ballpark guestimates on running a sub-panel for a planned hot tub and an automatic standby generator and transfer switch. A few days later when the technicians came out they were very professional and competent. I had the attic cleared out as I was doing a DIY air sealing and insulation job so they were able to access it easily and ran the new wiring to the new overhead box and switch effortlessly. The ceiling fan went in easily enough and even though they had to open a small hole in my sheetrock to make the wiring run to the switch I was still happy with the results, he patched the hole and I just had to spackle and paint the next day. The troubleshooting for the outside lights and GFCI outlet was a little less smooth, but that was not of any fault of the techs. It seems the previous owner did some interesting non-standard DIY "rigging" that led to a few shorts, one which ended up blowing the photo-senor eye that turns on my porch lights. Even though this really wasn't their fault they credited back the cost of a replacement unit and replaced it on the spot for no extra fee. They were able to get the outlet running but not the in-ground driveway lights. They were able to isolate the problem to a short (most likely a wire break in the underground run) and offered to continue on, but at $85/hr and with the prospect of digging trenches all through the garden beds I decided it was best to leave it as it was and have them disconnect the wiring so it wouldn't short out again. Later I pulled up the lights myself and replaced them with low voltage lighting from HD. All in all I was satisfied with the work, the price was a bit high but competitive with other vendors, good electricians aren't cheap. My only complaint is that I called Eric back later on to ask a few questions about the other quotes and never heard back. I will be trying again to see if I can get an official quote because I would like to get the generator installed before the winter, and maybe the hot tub next spring
- Washington Energy ServicesAfter some delays by the gas provider in installing natural gas service, it was a welcome experience in having Washington Energy Services install what I had requested. Originally, they had projected that the work could take 1 1/2 - 2 days. But, they ended up sending 3 different crews to my house on the first day, so all the work was completed in 1 day, and they waited until I arrived home to walk through what they had done. They acted very professionally, but at the same time were very helpful in their explanation of the various installed equipment and thorough as to how each worked, along with excellent tips for operation and maintenance. As far as I can tell, they did a great job of installation, as everything is working great. Also, the customer care representative was very helpful in explaining the process and answering all my questions. If I were to consider further energy enhancements to my house, I would definitely consider using Washington Energy Services

They had to cut into the walls and upgrade the gas line piping, to add gas lines so we can now have 2 gas fireplaces and a gas range in the kitchen. They were great to work with. There was a pipe that was making some noise, so I called them and they came right away and adjusted it by adding extra insulation, to stop the noise from it vibrating. They responded immediately and were quite attentive. Their crew members are wonderful, very professional and clean up after themselves very nicely. They were also great about removing and disposing of anything they took out during the process

"When we started the process, we learned that we would have to do a number of things to pass code. First, we had to either move the a/c unit, the meter, or move a window (or swap it for a non opening one) in order to upgrade our gas meter so that we could install the generator that we most wanted. After much discussion with Jake, we decided it would be more cost effective and better in the long run for us to move the A/C unit. We had our HVAC guy (Highlander Heating) come out and evacuate the coolant into the unit and make it ready to move. Then the guys from W.E. Electric moved the unit and the base it sits on for us. The unit will be reconnected when the weather is warm again. Once that was completed, we had PSE out to upgrade the meter. The crew from W.E. Electric then followed once the meter was complete and inspected. They were out to change out our panel and then install the generator. There was just one day that we were without power when they did the install. It went well, except that one of the circut breakers was bad in the new panel. My husband discovered it when he got home from work and our freezer was not working. I called Jake and he came right out and fixed the problem.
<br /> The whole process was fairly long, but the guys at W.E. Electric were great! They were hard working and efficient. The generator was completed just in time for our first black out of the season. It worked flawlessly. I really appreciated that they pulled all of the permits and did not charge us for the job until it was completed to our satisfaction and passed inspection. Our last meeting, Jake came out to explain how the generator works and how to program it. I would highly recommend this team.
