- Excel General Contractor, LLCWe hired Pete initially to help with a couple of re-modeling projects at home, including (but not limited to) adding an extra room upstairs. However, we discovered water damage few months prior to the project's planned start date. Pete helped us gain clarity on the rebuild efforts that would follow soon after the water mitigation would complete, worked closely with the insurance adjusters and was always responsive during the planning phases of the process. His crew members were very professional, friendly and always worked with us closely to meet our design needs. For the complexity of the project, Pete and his team did a great job in projecting reasonable timelines and setting expectations. I have only great things to say about the quality of the workmanship of his team. Overall, we would recommend Pete for home renovation/repair efforts

Alan at Ten Directions Design was the perfect person for our project. We were assuming the job would be too small to secure someone with the experience and expertise he brought. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have "found" him. He is a good listener and communicator, he worked quickly and drew up a meticulous and precise plan. The porch is finished now and turned out better than we imagined. We were relieved to have him figure out all the measurements, etc. The stairs were particularly tricky. We followed his design and the result is absolutely perfect. I can't recommend Ten Directions and Alan enough! From the moment we met him we liked him. He exudes professionalism and integrity. We were pleasantly surprised at the affordability of his services. We'd hire him again

She has worked with me step by step, explaining the process at each point and what I can expect. She also listened to what I was looking for, drew up various designs, and then worked with me on modifications. If you're looking for a company that excels at delivering delayed work and charges exorbitantly for simply checking on the status of your project, then this is the right company for you. My journey with Medici Architect has been nothing short of a nightmare. I entrusted them with my project, hoping to benefit from the expertise of a professional architect company. Little did I know that they would assign inexperienced new graduates to handle my project. To add insult to injury, it has been over 18 months, and I am still waiting for my building permit. Yes, you read that right – 18 months! Their inefficiency and lack of progress have caused significant frustration and financial strain and when I tried to confront them for the delay, it seemed like they were purposely avoiding any accountability. I have solid evidence to support my claims that Medici Architect is incapable of executing a project correctly and adhering to agreed-upon timelines. If anyone is curious and would like to see the evidence firsthand, I am more than willing to provide it. My sincere advice to anyone considering engaging Medici Architect for their architectural needs is to stay far, far away. Save yourself from the headaches, stress, and wasted time and money. Look elsewhere for a reliable, professional, and competent company that values its clients and delivers on its promises. - DC-DesignsWe were very happy with our decision to hire Douglas to design a basement addition and kitchen remodel. We interviewed several architects and designers before hiring Douglas. Douglas had the lowest bid by far but his bid included support from design all the way through permitting. Douglas patiently worked through several iterations of the design with us until we had a design we could take to contractors for bidding. Douglas made several major revisions during the project based on feedback from the city permitting office, contractor, and structural engineer. Overall it was a great experience and far more affordable than the architects. I have a feeling the architects would have charged us for every revision but Douglas was true to his word that his original fee covered us all the way through the process
- Topgun Plumbing LLCVery, very, pleased with their work. My first call was to have a potential toilet leak fixed. They came out the day after I called, checked for leaks (didn't see any) but removed and refitted the toilet. The cost was very reasonable, about $250, just what they quoted. The following DAY (couldn't believe the timing) the faucet in the kitchen fell apart. Topgun came out the following day and installed the new faucet in about 90 minutes (I purchased the faucet; they installed). Again, the cost was exactly what they quoted, around $250.00. (The last time I had a faucet installed--using a different plumber--the cost was almost $1,000.) Topgun does great work, has reasonable prices and personable employees. I recommend them highly

"So far, so good! We are about to break ground on our project, so this is a mid-project status review, but so far, the whole team has been really communicative. Don was helpful in discussing what options we had for building on our specific site (big hill!), helped us create a project-cost estimate, discussed what consultants we would need, etc. Then when we picked out all of our options, Kevin was really helpful in explaining each line item and answering our contract questions. We just met Aaron and Roger onsite this morning to discuss some final details before the work begins. Each team member we've spoken with has been friendly, helpful, and prompt in their response. "I hired J&A to remodel my kids bathroom and my downstairs bedroom. I have a 1924 craftsman home, so there was ancient wiring, unlevel floors, and messy lathe and plaster. I received a bid very quickly, and it was a thorough bid that was very competitive for the scope of work. The owner Jemal Adem and his team of project managers were great to work with throughout the project. When there were problems or complications, they took immediate ownership and worked hard to get the project back on track. You really need that in order to reduce stress when your house is a construction site. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Look at the before/after photos and see for yourself. I searched for a long time to find a group that would take on this medium-sized project, with many contractors never calling me back or taking forever to produce vague estimates. Best of all, J&A was committed to finishing the project on time. I highly recommend them!
