Customers say: True professional

"We are very satisfied with the work Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC have done to our property and house. Over the past four years they have done three major projects for use. The first was replacing our rotting retaining wall and putting in a french drain system for the north side of the house which solved the water problem we had that had rotted the old retaining wall. They also replaced our old privacy fence with a new one. The last project that Adrian has done for us this summer was to fix our roof. Half the wood on the roof had to be replaced and when that was done new shingles were put on the whole house. It has been a pleasure working with Adrian and his crew. We have already been talking with Adrian about an upcoming project for next summer."

"We received quotes from four companies - Drainage & Erosion Solutions' pricing was fair and the quality of their work & our experience with them seemed too good to be true. So much so that I've waited for nine months to post a review to be sure the drains they installed addressed the flooding issue. The project included installing five catch basin drains, over 70 feet of 4 inch drain pipe and another 70 feet of six inch drain pipes as well as replanting flower beds, regarding several areas, and installing river rock in two of the drainage beds. The drains have performed exceptionally well. What used to be a river forming on one side of our house, now quickly drains into five catch basin drains they installed. In addition, they were very concerned with aesthetics and made the drain areas look wonderful. They were prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them. Also, and perhaps most importantly, their recommended solution addressed the root cause of our flooding issues. Two of the other companies we received quotes from accepted that water would get into our crawlspace as a premise. Drainage and Erosion Solutions actually made sure that wouldn't happen in the future."

"My experience with this company was great. I was able to tell them my issues and they gave me several options. Ultimately we went for the full French Drain system. Everything was done on time and the estimates were very fair. Warranty on the work is great. I would call them again if needed."

"American Plumbing, Inc. is an exceptional plumbing operation that I had the pleasure of working with in April of 2023. They provided excellent plumbing services for me and exceeded my expectations in every way, and I will call on them again the next time I need plumbing work performed in my home. Dan Parris heads the company, and I was impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his teamâ s work. He was always responsive and communicative, making sure to keep me updated throughout the entire project. His suggestions were very helpful and allowed us to make informed decisions about the work that needed to be done."

"We had a slow drain that was resulting in dirt water being flushed back to the dishwasher. The plumber diagnosed where the problem was right away and he had the tools and supplies to resolve the problem immediately. A job well done in short order!"

"Fantastic job! Had a half bath turned into a full bath which required extending walls and drilling into foundation for new plumbing. Scary stuff in an older house. Remi did an expert job on every detail. I absolutely love the new bathroom. They handled all the work and all I had to do was pick out fixtures and colors. Turnkey project and would highly recommend."

"They came at the beginning of the COVID outbreak when I was a little concerned about having people in the house. They arrived on time and did what was necessary to clear the kitchen drain. I think it was a bigger job that expected, and perhaps the drain will need a more thorough cleaning when things are better. The service tech was not wearing a mask, so I gave him one of mine. He was very nice about it, and wore it the entire time he was in the house. I appreciate that."

FAQs for french drain service projects in Triangle, VA

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.

Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
