"Technician Assessed The Job Gave A Fair Price And Applied The Coupon From Angie's List! The Washer Drain Was Unclogged By Getting On The Roof (Who Knew) And Is Working Great! We Had Bought A Replacement Faucet And Handles; Just In Case Replacing Was The More Sensible Option Vs Repairing And As It Turns Out The Kit That Would Have Been Needed To Repair Our Dated Faucet And Handles Would Have Taken More Time And Money! Now Installing The New One Still Was No Small Task, But Our Technician Worked Diligently And I'm Happy To Report No More Drip! Atomic Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Is Definitely Our New Go To For Future Plumbing Needs!"

"Mike Hannon was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He cleaned out a stinky shower drain and replaced a leaky toilet valve system. I would highly recommend A-1 Sewer and Drain. I have used them many times."

"I had an encapsulation accomplished along with beam repairs, fungicide treatment, beam repairs, jack installation, French drain, etc.. It was a project that took a few weeks. Over that time the teams were always on time, cordial, friendly, and upbeat. They modified a few items based on my personal preferences without any issues. Any concerns I had were immediately addressed and none were overlooked. The teams kept the house clean, and made me aware of progress each day. The office staff was also outstanding, any calls I made were always returned quickly and had positive results. The job turned out wonderful. The work looks fantastic. I am very happy with the outcome."

"Our plumber was excellent. Really great customer service. Took the time to explain everything he was doing. Gave us great advice. We called for a drain clog. When he got there, he noticed our water heater was super old and suggested we get a new one soon. He gave us individual quotes for all services. We elected to do a new water heater and he installed it same day. I would definitely recommend this business! Keep up the good work."

Unsealed porous foundation walls. Efflorescence has grown along the outside walls.
Plastic is laid out to protect the freshly pained walls and floor.
Open vents in the foundation walls allow outside air and moisture to infiltrate the crawl space, increasing the relative humidity and allowing mold spores to thrive inside.
Spray foam application in progress on warehouse walls.
The dirt floor is exposed, which will allow the moisture from the earth to rise uncontested into the crawl space, adding to the increase in relative humidity.

French Drains questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons your snake won’t go down the floor drain. One common reason is a large obstruction in the drain that is causing a blockage. You can remove any debris you see in the drain before trying to snake it. In addition, the snake might not be long enough to reach the clog, or it might be the wrong diameter.

Professional tools include drain snakes, hydro jets, cameras for line inspection, and enzymatic or chemical cleaners for dissolution.

It’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to unclog a sewer line using a drain snake or drain cleaner. If you hire a professional, you should expect them to be on-site for three hours or less. In addition to clearing the clog, they’ll do other routine inspections, which adds to the overall time (and cost) required.

Keep your egress window from flooding by ensuring that the drainage system in the window well is clear and in good working condition. Inspect the window well every few months to remove any blockages and test the drainage system. It’s better to discover potential problems before your window well fills with water during heavy rain.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.
