"There are not enough words to describe how happy I was with Jimmy, Dylan his team and the work that they performed!!!! Jimmy helped me get the look that I wanted, always communicated with me, welcomed all my questions and was a joy to work with!!!!! Now, you might have to wait a bit on him..which he explains when you meet with him, because they're very busy. But once he gives you a date, they are here, on time, professional, hard working and meticulous!!!!! They removed the grass from the selected area, saved it, and replaced it when they finished Basically there was NO, ABSOLUTELY no damage to my yard!!!!!! I loved this team, enjoyed watching them work building my paved patio. and hated to see them leave. You will enjoy the experience working with this team"

"Outstanding customer service and workmanship. Entire process was explained and cost was very reasonable. Outcome better than expected and Mr. Smith followed up to ensure I was satisfied with work before collecting payment. Have received many compliments from neighbors already and have already recommended Mr. Smith to neighbors and family members. I am a very satisfied and happy customer ð â º"

"Kenny responded promptly to my query for help.  He was very busy, but provided an estimate when he said he would.  He showed up for the work when he said he would.  The job took two days - Remove/grind out existing mortar (what was left) in day one and repoint the entire steps group the next.  Everything looks better than new.  Positively perfect.

If I ever need masonry work again, I'll be giving Kenny a call.  I've seen his work and it's great.

"The owner of Freedom Land Works, Donnie, contacted me numerous times, but I was unable to commit to a time and therefore have not used their service as yet .. that was three years ago. But, I was impressed that Donnie continued to call, and will, in the near future contact him again for the work I still need. I'm sure by this time the money I paid three years ago is no longer available to me, but that was my fault, not Freedom Land Works fault."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, pea gravel is good for driveways as long as your driveway isn’t built on a hill or any type of slope where it can slide. It’ll settle on a flat surface and create a suitable driveway over time, though some spreading initially will take place. If you're wondering how to make a gravel driveway in a high-rainfall area, using pea gravel could help you to cut down on costs needed for extra drainage solutions.

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.

Pavers are a type of permeable hardscape that can be used for driveways, patios, walkways, and other landscaping features. Unlike poured concrete or asphalt, pavers typically have a layer of gravel underneath to prevent water runoff from damaging your property—though you can also lay pavers on grass. Because pavers are installed piece by piece, you can customize a one-of-a-kind hardscape that best suits your aesthetics, boosting your curb appeal along the way.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

The most obvious disadvantage of permeable paving is that the cost is typically higher compared to non-permeable concrete, pavers, or asphalt methods. Also, the porous material can get clogged with dirt and debris, requiring cleaning and power washing more frequently than standard paving materials and methods. Although permeable paving is not ideal for highways, airports, and other surfaces supporting heavy traffic and machinery, it is suitable for regular residential driveways.
