Kellam Mechanical IncI have just recently moved into the area (Sept 2020) and purchased an older home that needs lots of updating. Not having experience with any vendors in the area, I called Kellam based on a referral. When I bought the home it had an ancient hot water radiator, a tempermental incorrectly installed geothermal system, a water heater from 1991, and lots of Harry Homeowner electrical "fixes". I asked Kellam for an estimate to remove all the old systems, install new gas/AC systems and a tankless hot water heater and clean up the electrical issues. I received a price that was competitive and gave them the work. Kellam did an excellent job with all of the work that I gave them. All through the process, I felt that they were here to solve my problems with whatever it takes instead of maximizing their bottom line. I'm the kind of guy that asks a million questions and in every case the techs were very patient with me and explained all of my questions to my satisfaction. My HVAC system works great, my home is comfortable and I have plenty of hot water. My wife and I are very pleased. In addition to a great installation, one other thing that I want to point out is the way they took care of my electrical issues. Lots of companies don't want to handle jobs like that because they can be difficult to properly correct. Kellam did not hesitate and they not only fixed the issues that I had found but also some others that I didn't know about. In summary if you want a company who acts more like your very competent friend than a soulless vendor, Kellam is your company. The owner, Scott Kellam, actively manages the business, is an old school stand up honest guy and he trains his staff to be the same way. If you use them, I think that you will be pleased.- Mark T.

Commonwealth Comfort, Co.The installation of my new Bosch HVAC unit was smooth and efficient. New duct work was done where needed. They inspected and replaced the return duct in my crawl space. This was an important repair for me to make sure there were no leaks in the duct system. The duct work and seals were nicely done.The owner of the company was very knowledgeable about different HVAC systems. I have been very satisfied with my new system so far. We used A1 exterminators for several years. In the beginning we used them to change the dehumidifier filters. We started using them because the previous owners had used them to redo the crawl space and install a the humidifier. At some point we also started using them for pest control. We did their Guardian Plan from beginning. The guys they sent over were nice and courteous and always helpful. We were pleased with service until we were selling our home and records of services provided were requested and they refused to give them. We were needing information on if they had caulked some cracks in the foundation when they sealed everything when the dehumidifier was installed. I even had the previous owner call and give them permission to release this information. They accused me of trying to get information out of them that didn't belong to me. Funny thing is, there were absolutely no issues, but they were immediately defensive and accusing me of being in a bad place with our buyers. She talked over me to the point and was so rude, I told her to shut up. That was the end of anything I ever wanted to do with them. Had the owner of this company not been the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life, I may have left them a good rating. Based on how she treats a customer of 4 or 5 years, I could never recommend them to anyone. Read their reviews yourself. Their bad customer service speaks for itself. When I mentioned this company to the buyers real estate agent, he confirmed that they weren't reputable as did the escrow company that did our closing.
