"We recently had the pleasure of working with Climatemakers for HVAC duct Replacement at our home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring top-notch service. Mike and his team were amazing! The technicians arrived promptly and efficiently installed the ducts during the estimated timelines. They also took care to explain the process every step of the way. Their attention to detail was evident, and they were very respectful and kind during the entire process, which we really appreciated. Not only did Climatemakers deliver on their promise of quality workmanship, but they also exceeded our expectations with their exceptional customer service. They were friendly, courteous, and genuinely invested in ensuring our satisfaction. I highly recommend Climatemakers to anyone in need of HVAC services. "Dran plumbing was very professional, prompt, and accurate to resolve our problems. His recommendation to install a complete new hvac system was sound. Upon making my decision to replace the full unit, Dran was able to do a complete removal and replacement the very next day. Perfect choice and worth the money spent. I would hire him again and again and again. Hes quick and knows his stuff! Kudos to you Dran and your team. Thanks home advisor for qualifying these pros."

"I am very satisfied with the work done by Worley’s. I had a new HVAC system installed to replace an 18 year old system that had quit working. The price was competitive but the warranty and included maintenance sold me. The technicians that came to install my system were punctual, polite and efficient. It did take a little longer than expected due to some material issues but I was kept informed of the progress and delays throughout the process and I appreciated the attention to detail rather than rushing the job. Overall, this was a very smooth and easy process and I would absolutely recommend them for your HVAC needs."

"I don't trust anyone else to service and repair my hvac units. TWICE another well known company misdiagnosed the problem completely. We called PLE, and not only did they accurately identify the problem, they were half the price. We fired the other guys. I won't ever call anyone else. Honest company, responsive and professional. "I would recommend Mike to others needing handyman work done. Mike removed 3 ceiling fans, installed 1 ceiling fan and installed 2 light fixtures for me. Communication was easy and the jobs were done well. Thanks Mike!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, or ASHRAE, sets the standard guidelines for air changes per hour in homes and businesses. The International Residential Code, or IRC, also sets ACH requirements for residences and bases those requirements off of ASHRAE standards plus climate specifics related to your location.

A few drips here and there should not be cause for concern, but if your unit is leaking a large amount of water, then it’s advised that you stop using it until the problem is identified and a solution is determined. The more you use it during a leak, the more issues it will cause.

Yes, you can put an AC unit on the roof of your home or commercial building. For proper installation, you’ll need to ensure the roof surface is flat, it’s accessible for maintenance and cleaning, and an AC installation pro agreed that your home is a candidate for package units. Don’t forget to consider the climate in your area, as homes that experience frequent tropical storms or hurricanes may not benefit from this type of system.

The decision to put your AC unit on the roof or ground depends on the climate in your area, the roof shape, accessibility, and budget. If you live in a warm climate or don’t have existing ductwork, it’s likely best to stick to a traditional AC unit that sits on the ground. However, if you lack yard space, live in a mild climate, and have easy access to the roof, your home may benefit from a rooftop AC unit.

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling.

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.
