I had the pleasure of using this service last August. Last year my AC went out and another company wanted to charge me over $800. to repair it. Being outraged and "hot" I called Advantage. Two very handsome men not only quickly repaired it, but the bill was a little over $100. They were amazing, polite, professional and now that a friend is asking for an AC company to repair her broken AC, I am referring my friend to Advantage. ** Fast forward two years.. my heat goes out during the coldest weekend in years. Xmas weekend, I was without heat. I stayed in my bedroom running two portable heaters. I could not wait for Tuesday. I called Advantage Heating and Cooling. I was told the soonest appointment would be on Thursday, but the young lady promised if any cancellations, she would call. THANK THE G-Ds there was a cancellation. Alex Meyers arrived and did a complete inspection. I held my breath for the worst news. Alex was AMAZING, he fixed it for under $200. AND gave me a VERY honest explanation and advice. I LOVE THIS COMPANY. I would NEVER use anyone else, EVER!!!

Called early in the morning. Valerie was very polite and was able to confirm that I had indeed purchased my system from them. Amy found an available time window for me in the afternoon and was very responsive when I called back within that window for confirmation. James was at my home as promised and was very efficient in pinpointing the problem and making the repair. Before billing he also confirmed that my parts warranty had run out as I expected. I could not ask for better service. My total bill was less than $300 and everyone was courteous and professional. Thank you.

I had my heat pump inspected by another company and they told me that I would be better off replacing it. I called Advantage, partly to to get a second opinion and partly because they are the local Trane dealer. In the end their price was significantly lower than the other two companies that I had compared and I ended up getting an Amana unit with a seven year warranty from them.

The initial installation of our new system appeared to go well, however, when we turned the heat on for the first time about a week later, the house never warmed up. The next day my wife called Advantage & they made a same day appointment and promised to arrive at our house between 12:00 - 3:00. The repairman did not make the appointment on time nor did anyone from Advantage call to notify us of a delay. When I arrived home after 4:00 my wife was on the phone with Advantage (my wife initiated the call). The Advantage phone rep was explaining to my wife in a very condescending way that they were busy and worked us into the schedule as best they could. She made it seem like Advantage was doing us a huge favor. The repairman arrived about 4:45 PM and right at 5:00 told us our brand new Trane system had a bad thermostat control board that had to be replaced. He also informed us he couldn't get the part that day because the parts warehouse closed at 5:00 PM. When I informed him that we have a pet that cannot be exposed to cold temperatures, he replied that we would have to buy a space heater because there was nothing he could do! Although I told the repairman I expected the system fixed immediately the next day, we were again simply "fit in" to a time convenient only to Advantage. There is no excuse whatsoever for Advantage's total lack of communication with regard to meeting their schedule appointment with us. If they had been on time, getting parts would not have been an issue. It's blatantly obvious the installation technician never bothered to ensure the heat actually worked - he only verified the fan came on when the thermostat called for it. I still cannot believe Advantage's "fix" for us not having heat was to tell us to spend over $90 on space heaters. The last straw for us was being forced to wait the next day until midday, after the repair tech completed other jobs ahead of ours. There is absolutely no "Advantage" to using this company. They simply don't live up to their promises, communicate with customers, and then tell customers to spend more money to work around a situation Advantage caused through their own actions.

As you know, every attempt was made to secure a new circuit board from Trane after hours and they did not respond, therefore we could not repair the furnace until the next day. We would like to point out that we responded to your request and we were at your home within 8 hours. We apologize that it could not have been sooner."

I bought a brand new condo less than 2 years ago and was already having issues with the HVAC unit. The emergency overflow was spitting out water constantly and the pan was filled with water. Also noticed that at some point during construction a pvc pipe was cracked that was supposed to be connected to the unit. To say the least I was very disappointed at the craftsmanship and having to deal with all of that in my brand new home. With that being said, this company made the entire situation bearable. They were patient with me, explained all the issues and were very polite and understanding with all of my questions. They had to come out on a few different occasions and each time they were a pleasure to be around. One of the appointments they told me the cost was going to be upwards of around 600 dollars , I expressed my concerns, their company agreed to help me with part of the cost and also gave me information to contact the manufacturer of the unit to get their assistance as well. When all was said and done I paid around 250 for that appointment. I was very grateful as they didn't have to help at all they just realized the situation that I bought into a brand new house with a faulty system. It was refreshing to feel like a company had your back and wasn't trying to rip you off.

David and Sean both responded to our call over two separate weekends. One of the calls was later on a Sunday. We had been out all day, and discovered our AC was not working in this 90-degree weather. David responded to the call. He was in North Carolina, but told us he would try to see us after another call. He did not get here until 10:30PM, but we were amazed with the fast turnaround. He replaced the part, and we were back up and running! The following week, we had issues with another unit (we have a split unit), and Sean was able to respond on a Saturday. He recalibrated our thermostat, but we will need to order a new one. He made our house considerably more comfortable. We are going to sign up for the "Comfort Club" so that we can schedule regular six-month checkups. We are also considering replacing one of the older units, and will most likely choose Advantage due to their excellent, above-average customer service.

The technician called this morning and was able to be at my residence in 35 minutes. He looked at the condenser outside and the furnace in the warm attic. He found a faulty wire that was causing the system to not communicate with the thermostat. He was very professional and I appreciated his hard work to find and quickly fix the issue. I will consider setting up a maintenance agreement with the company in the near future.

It went good. My wife said he was very nice and professional. I was unable to be there because of work. He assessed the furnace and heat pump and told us what was wrong. A few things were burnt up and needed replacement. Not all pieces we with him at the time so he came out the next morning to finish.
