They also repaired our brick front walkway, some stone work on the façade of our home and some minor pavement cracks. The project went exactly how Jeff Mottern said it would go, and turned out better than we could have imagined. Jeff grew up in the masonry business and it shows. Jeff and his team are gifted professionals, kind and excellent communicators. Weather permitting, they worked non-stop from the moment they started until the project was completed. Right on time and right on budget. The stone work on the wall and the fireplace is stunning. And when all of the building was completed, they graded and seeded the area around the patio, covered it with straw, and cleaned up the work areas as if they hadn’t been there. This was as perfect a home improvement project experience as we could hope to have. And to top it off, Jeff has a wonderful network of experienced carpenters, electricians and other resources to tap into as your projects may require. We are using three of those additional resources so far. We cannot recommend Mottern Masonry more."

I thought I had to choose between the high-cost, glossy brochure, licensed & reputable companies OR the cheap, unlicensed, pushy “if you ask for inspections the cost is double” contractors. Arafat quoted a much more reasonable price, gave excellent advice to help us build what would be most useful, never pressured us, and got all the appropriate permits & inspections. We were probably fairly high-maintenance clients, and Arafat was patient and kind, describing options as we went and modifying a ‘normal’ porch set up to reduce pollen so my highly allergic husband & daughters can enjoy the space. The crew was here on time every day and did an amazing job and finished the project on-time and within the budget. A project manager was assigned to us and was very responsive.
