Note that it’s better to solder two couplings and a copper pipe together to fix minor leaks. This gives you some additional material for a stronger repair.

Like many other repair projects, the cost to fix a behind-the-wall shower leak depends on several factors. The cost of your repair may depend on the type of leak (from a clog or burst pipe), type of piping, and location of the leak. You can unclog a double kitchen sink by plunging the side with the garbage disposal. Cover the drain hole on the other side first to avoid creating a mess. Plunge up and down until the water starts to drain. You can also pour in baking soda and vinegar to try and dissolve a clog. 

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

You can use PEX pipe underground, and it will hold up well in underground insulations. Keep in mind that PEX tubing is not rated for outdoor use and that insulation is necessary in regions that experience cold winters. When using it underground, you should also bury PEX piping at least 12 inches below the frost line.
