"Mr. Harrington was very professional. He showed up on time, wore a mask and covers on his shoes. He looked at the shower and recognized that there was a build up in the shower head. I explained that I already changed the cartridge and the handle. He cleaned out the shower head and didn't charge me a dime! Very professional and very courteous. I recommend this company to anyone with plumbing issues."

"We are more than pleased with our bathroom we just had done. Thanks to the team at Quality Remodeling. 5-Star service is what you get from this company and their prices are more that great if you are like me and didn't have the largest budget. They worked with me to get my bathroom done at a price I could afford. Will us this company again. Thanks!"

"Quality Remodeling did a great job remodeling both of our bathrooms. The workers showed up on time, cleaned up every day and consulted with us throughout the renovation on placement of plumbing fixtures. The subcontractor for the glass installation, Joey the glass guy, was very good. We are very satisfied with the work Quality Remodeling did and give them a 5 star recommendation."

"Everyone; from the salesman that initially came in and explained the services offered, to the installer that completed the work; were completely professional. They efficiently removed the old shower and extended the original space to twice the size by removing a dead space wall. All of the wood and insulation was replaced and the plumbing updated. The final product is elegant and spacious. The installer in particular took great care to make sure that every evening after working that the space was cleared of clutter. When the shower was finished, he made sure to clean the space and returned everything to where it was before he came in. Everyday he would update us on how the install was progressing and when he would expect to be complete. Our new shower is everything we were promised and more. The extended size of the shower and the hanging glass doors gives the entire room an completely new feel and openness that was previously missing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to update/replace their current bathroom/shower."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

No, bleach will not harm PVC pipes. Assuming the bleach is not mixed with any other chemicals, you can dilute it and pour it down a drain that has PVC plumbing. Undiluted bleach won’t hurt PVC pipes, but bleach should be diluted before disposing of it by pouring it down a drain.

The use of polybutylene pipes stopped in mid-1996 in the U.S., following a class action lawsuit that was filed against polybutylene plumbing manufacturers. Homes built between 1978 and 1996 are most likely to have polybutylene plumbing.

The normal water level in a toilet bowl is about halfway full. The water should sit above the P trap drain because this creates a seal and suction. When you flush the toilet, the suction keeps sewer gases from entering your house through your toilet. Anytime the water level is higher or lower than half full, you need to make adjustments or replace broken parts.

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.

Your toilet handle might not come back up if the nut is loose or the bolt threads are stripped. Try to tighten the mounting nut and wrap plumber’s tape around the handle bolt to fix stripped threads. It’s possible the handle was improperly installed. If that’s the case, you can use the instructions above to correct the handle’s position.
