- The Drying CoArrived on day expected at the approximate time. The two person team began work about 9:30 am and worked straight through until 2:30 pm at which time the team was prepared to blow in insulation. However, insulation machine was not operating properly. They scheduled to come back the next day to complete job. I inspected work and found a few items they did not foam insulate so made a list so when they came back the next day they checked and completed foam insulation of the rest of the items and then blew in the insulation. Management called and scheduled to come out and inspect work for proper performance. Management showed up on site as scheduled and verified work was done as invoiced and my spouse paid the balance for the work. We expect to achieve energy savings as a result of the work done and will monitor the energy bills over the next year and compare to previous to see actual savings. Management appears concerned about quality of their work and reputation. Would recommend to others

- Clean Air Solutions Inc.I was just about ready to throw in the towel. The crawl space under my house was a disaster. Rusted duct work. Insulation in shreds, pipes disconnected and yes some were even missing. The outside door to access the crawl space was so worn and rusted out that critters were finding their way in. It was like this when we bought the house. No one had anything positive to say or offer. That is until Mike with Clean Air Solutions showed up to take a look and gave me an estimate. He said I had great structural duct, it just needed some serious repair. His estimate beat everyone and the outcome he was describing almost sounded too good to be true. They cleaned all the metal duct. Patched and wrapped any hole with this great mastic. The insulation was not that paper backed fiber mess that just drips and comes apart with any moisture. This was a mesh insulation that wrapped around the duct and cut down on sweating. They found missing duct and added that in at no charge. They put on a door that will never rust or break down. Then Mike had his crew circle the house looking for any tiny crevice that critters might make their way in, and those places were sealed. If duct can look pretty doggone sexy........mine did. They worked so hard in the blazing heat. I just kept the lemonade flowing and they were happy. Clean Air Solutions goes top notch and state of the art. They set out to provide you with quality air conditions that you have to breath in every day. Imagine if you had to breath in mold spores 24/7 from a wet dank space under your house. - House Call CoThe auditor pointed out several things to help keep energy bills in check. He supplied a smart strip and energy efficient light bulbs as well as hvac filters. I also received a rebate from Virginia Power for having the audit performed, so the end result was that I ended up breaking even after goods and rebates received

- eShield of VAI saw the advertisement for a free home energy assessment at a home-a-rama show in Va Beach. I knew I needed additional insulation in my attic so I thought I would take advantage of the offer to see what else could be done to improve the energy efficiency of my home. My home is 20 years old. The energy assessment I was given was a joke compared to the one I just had from Ecovative of Virginia. They did not do a blower door test to check for air infiltration. He looked in the attic to determine how much insulation would be required and checked a door glass and window to show me the temperature. Then he did a demo to show me what the eshield attic barrier does, checked my electric bills, and gave me tips on where homeowners tipically experience air infiltration. He showed me they guaranteed a minimum of 25% savings in heating and cooling in the first year. Needless to say I have not seen that kind of savings. He was really only interested in selling products. When they done the work, one of the workers stepped through my cieling and didn't bother to come tell me. I called the company and they said that happens and they would fix it. I insisted it be fixed before they left that day. I had to call them back to tell them the repair was unacceptable and they sent a company out that specializes in dry wall work. It is still not the best but it is better than what they had left it that first day. The company gave me a fire place insert for the inconvenience but didn't come install it. I called them and they said it was so simple I could do it myself. When Ecovative did my energy assessment this month, they couldn't put it in either and asked if EShield measured my fireplace before sending me the product. They did not and they didn't even look inside the fireplace insert to ensure it would work. I would never do business with them again or recommend them to anyone

"I hired Mr. Brand for a pre-purchase inspection on a foreclosed home. I arrived at the home 30 minutes prior to our scheduled inspection time and Mr. Brand was already there and complete with the crawl space inspection. Once we went inside the home he began to conduct a mold inspection with special equipment and while it was running and collecting samples he went around the home and conducted his home inspection.
