"This was the biggest house project I have had since I bought my house and so I spent a good deal of time researching and meeting with companies before I made my decision to go with Subcomm Pools. They gave me a detailed estimate and I understood what needed to be done and the total I would have to pay.
I have an old pool that was built in the 1970s which needed a major overhaul. After reviewing and approving the contract Subcomm Pools were in the next day. They pretty much stripped it down to the foundation. They redid everything from the plaster, to the coping, to the tile, to the filter, to the concrete deck around the pool. They were patient with me when I changed my mind multiple times about the tile I wanted. The guys that did the work from start to finish were communicative, efficient, clean, timely and extremely professional. The time-frame for this project was not only met, but ahead of schedule.
This was a very nice experience, I have dealt with shady contractors before, but these guys are the complete opposite, they stand by there work and product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone that needed work done and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome.

"Backyard Ponds is magic. I have a small backyard pond, stream and waterfall that have been
leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar
between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My
pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one
stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on
enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she
vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline
and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the
edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding
down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump
and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to
the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had
a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from
expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked
up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in
ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is
magic.

My pool needed pretty much a rework of all the filtering and pump equipment due to age.

Contacted several companies for quotes.  BJ's was in the middle ground pricewise, but 2 of the companies were also sky high on their estimates.

These guys removed all the old equipment, put in a new concrete pad, & installed all new equipment.

They started on schedule and finished when they said they would.

Bill from BJ's did a great job and is very professional as is everyone else there at BJs.

Bob (the owner of BJs) even found me a replacement for my outdated fiber optic light which had not worked in years and had been discontinued by the manufacturers for years as well. Talk about finding a needle in a haystack!

Thanks to all at BJs for the great job!

"Summary
I do want to say we are very happy with Henry and Mario's work. The winter of 2015 proved problematic, but after rescheduling due to weather-related and the Easter holiday issues, it was nice to have the job done...and it was a nice job too!
Scheduling
Originally, we had scheduling delays to start the job due to snow. We began with a day of labor, but for various honest reasons we required a second day to complete. Then due to snow and a mistake scheduling workers over Easter, that pushed out that second day a couple weeks.
Our Preparation
We purchased and provided two coats of paint to a pair of crown molding pieces that would overlap and run on three walls, about twenty feet up in our family room. I also obtained and set up the scaffolding, which I used to clean windows and get measurements.
Specifics - We contracted with Craftmasters Services to:
1. Install crown molding, caulk, patch nail holes and provide final paint
2. Install drapery holders about 17 feet up. Mind you, our idea was to secure finial balls into the wall (not a typical set up), where ties on each curtain would be tied and hang. Some creative thinking went into that. And, we got it all just right thanks to using a videophone to my wife at work. So, the workers were patient with us while they continued to work and collaboratively we came up with a solution to secure those draperies according to my wife's vision.
3. To paint an accent wall
Note:  I want to be clear, you have to be patient and have some flexibility with this company and with life. Coordination is not their strength. To be fair, we had a lot of snow and they're coming from out west (where most of the snow fell). However, I'm hiring craftsmen not meeting planners. So, by giving them some leeway in that area, they did a great job at a great price. I think they enjoyed being in our home, as much as we enjoyed having them...once they got here. (Ha!). Yes, I and my wife would hire them again.

"The service provider was prompt, courteous and personable. Thoroughly explained what would be done to correct the leaky faucet. Was neat and clean in the work area and took care to ensure there were no gaps between the newly installed faucet and siding by applying additional chaulking. Entered the residence once to assess the scope of the repair and wore booties, without being prompted to do so, in order to protect my floors. I would use this company in the future and had such a positive experience with the assigned service technician, I would request him by name (Trai).

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.
