Capital Hot Tubs & Saunas

Our hot tub quit heating the water so we called them on a Monday and they weren't able to schedule us until the following Monday.  The Technician was able to diagnose the problem immediately and replaced the heater relay board in about 15 minutes.  The one issue I had was that he charged us $425 for 15 minutes of work.  After he left I looked at the invoice to see how much the part was as I was thinking it must have been around $300 for it to have cost that much but the Tech did not break down the cost of the part from the labor.  I went on line and found a new heater relay board for my hot tub for $135 which would mean that labor was almost $300.  I was shocked.  We have been customers of this company for almost 30 years and I was really surprised that their labor costs are so high.  Love their hot tubs - Hot Springs Spas - and would never buy anything but a Hot Springs Spa, just not real happy with the cost of this service call.

Sale was super - walked us through all of our options with no pressure to buy. They were very kind and friendly and most knowledgeable about their products. Delivery took about 3 weeks. The SPA is on the new patio in the back of our house and it was not at all easy to bring the Hot Tub from the street around to the back of our home. We have a walk-out basement so there are some hills and turns that had to be negotiated. They removed the old Hot Tub, brought the new one in, placed it, and prepared it for electrical connection. That whole installation team was fantastic!!

Unfortunately, we had a sauna that came with our home that we do not have any additional information on. The company found that a fuse was missing but without a manual could not tell us which fuse we need. I did have to call them several times just to get a response. However, I do appreciate not being charged, given no further work could be completed.

I was very happy with the service that was performed. I ordered my cover by phone after talking with the people at the store a few weeks earlier. I was told it would take several weeks. I received an email a few days later explaining that my cover was in and would be delivered the next day. The cover was replaced while I was at work and the old cover was removed. No garbage or other remains were left behind. I was very happy to get my new cover in such a quick manner. The person that coordinated the delivery, Karen, was very responsive and professional.

The company got involved because I needed help getting in and out. The president of the company came out to try to figure out what could be done so I didn't have to have someone there to help me all the time. In the corner of the deck, I have 2 hand bars. One is the normal one which I can turn from side to side, and then there is another one I can use to help me as I can't move my leg by itself. So, they did make special arrangements for me.
