"On time arrival, took shoes off, courteous, and knowledgeable. Looked at multiple appliances (e.g. microwave, dishwasher, washer, and fridge) and explained everything he was doing. Was able to replace the door switch on my microwave (had the OEM part in his cargo van). In the process, a separate issue with the microwave occurred (the interior dome light would no longer come on). He spent several minutes trying to troubleshoot but we could not figure out. We reached a fair agreement on price due to this unfortunate situation. He also provided a temporary fix on my refrigerator’s defrost drip tray (which was cracked and leaking). He provided me with the replacement part number so that I could purchase and do the swap myself (and save money). I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I will use him again."

"I had the worst customer experience I’ve ever had with this company. I should have known when, without any communication, the technician was late for the first appointment. I have an LG oven that was not turning on. When the technician finally did show up, it was the end of the day, and he seemed like he just wanted to go home. He said he knew the problem but couldn’t find the serial or model number, but he’d “figure it out” and left. After a week with nothing from this company, we finally got someone to text back. My wife quickly found the serial number on the back, and we supplied the model number so they could order the part. I took another day off work only to have the technician not show up. For the third appointment, I confirmed with the office that the part would be in for our 3-5 pm appointment window. So, I took the afternoon off of work again. At 3 pm, I was told the part wasn’t in yet, too late as I was already home, burning more vacation time. We scheduled ANOTHER appointment for Sunday at noon. Again, there was no call and no-show from the technician. VERTEX Home Services LLC even sent me a screenshot at 1:35 pm showing that the technician had “just woken up.” I thought it was unprofessional to send me internal company texts showing their technician didn’t even wake up until 1:35 pm, an hour and 15 minutes after our appointment. When the technician did show up, he was late every time. Whoever responds to their text is highly unprofessional, sending “thumbs up” to customer questions rather than actual answers, leaving the customer unclear if they mean, “ok, I read your message,” or that they are confirming a question asked. Three days taken off from work, three weeks of frustration, and an oven that still doesn’t work. Avoid this company at all costs. It is not professionally run, not responsive to customer questions, late for every appointment, and ultimately, it couldn’t do the job."

"Mr. Omar told me that if I could have given him the model number in addition to the symptom, he would give me a binding estimate at no cost, because with that info, he would be able to identify the part needed. Even though in my case, no model number is visible, just his stating that possibility tells me that his communication with clients is more forthcoming and direct than that of typical competitors. So, that made a favorable impression and I think the firm is earning its money and deserves business over its typical competitors. In the end, a staffer from firm (Freddy) had to see the oven for himself and he determined the part and had one with him and completed the repair. The overall price was comparable to the one the Angi firm quoted."

"Pion's was excellent! Not only did the technician come out the next day, he had the part and fixed it very quickly. I am so pleased! My oven is over 32 years old, and this is the first time it went out! They don't make them like this anymore, and I am so pleased Pion's was able to fix it. "Take away: record then while they are in your house, you'll want the evidence when you have to prove they lied. 1. They tried to convince me that my fridge had a water "reservoir" that would take more than 8 hours to fill up. That's a lie - expect them to lie to you as much as they want. 2. The father who owns the business sent his son to my job. His son send to know very little about appliance repair so if you get the younger mid 20s - 30s guy showing up to your job, he will do a terrible job. The father had to come back to fix his son's mistake. 3. They "fixed" my fridge, which never really was fixed and went back to it's original problem within a month. When I called my warranty company to send them back out the son came. He said it seemed like the heater or thermostat wasn't working properly. 4. Then I got a call from my warranty company saying that arcnet had told them everything was fine with the fridge and no repairs were needed. Complete lies. Now arcnet dodges my calls because they know they were wrong."

"Mega Plumbing Chantilly, Va. (Brian & Pedro) did a great job installing my new dishwasher. They quickly and carefully removed the old dishwasher and quickly and carefully installed and tested the new dishwasher. They made sure everything was done properly and the unit was level and operating correctly. They instructed us on the operation of the new dishwasher. They were very professional, protected the work area and kept it clean. They hauled away the packing material and the old dishwasher. I would recommend them."

"If it was an option I would give no stars. First, they give me 10-2pm appointment then they don't show up at the appointment time. They try to be slick and not coordinate the appointment time with my home warranty company and was just verbal with me over the phone. I found out when I called my home warranty company about them not showing up and I was informed that Mid Atlantic company operates till 5pm and to give them time till 5pm. Then I call Mid Atlantic, they ask if they can come tomorrow and I said no since my dad had been waiting since 10 am. Two Mid Atlantic Techs come close to 5pm who do not know what they are doing and keep going back and forth, so I explain to them how my Furnace is tripping the power. I have to tell him step by step what is happening since they lack ability to diagnose properly, and advise them them accordingly. Tech tells me they will talk to manager if the compressor needs to be replaced but recommends outside and inside unit to be replaced and that the manager will call me back. I get a call with the manager stating he will try to have system replaced, and I told him of course it is over 17 years old. I kept reaching out to manager and he keeps saying he will call back and that he is trying to get unit replaced, but he does not call back. Eventually he stopped picking my call. I call my home warranty company and they tell me that Mid Atlantic stated that customer was rude, demanding whole unit to be replaced whereas Mid Atlantic stated that compressor needs to be replaced. I told the home warranty company that all I need is my heat working, it is freezing outside, and whatever needs to be done, I need that taken care of simple as that, and informed him of the whole scenario. I took time to write this review so no one else goes though this nightmare experience especially in this chilly weather."
