"Frontier Moving did an amazing, quick, and thorough move for us. The crew was very informative of all the proceedings, careful with our fragile items, and done within the quoted time. Would definitely recommend their services."

"The cost was between $1,100 and $1,300, but it was not like just for a couple of hours. They were with us for 11 to 13 hours. They were very careful. We have not got to all our furniture because it is all set up in the garage, but the things we see looks all fine. They took extra care in everything they did. They were not cheap, but they were good. They were on time. They did not dillydally around. The majority of that time was because I have a large refrigerator and they had to take it apart. Then, it still would not fit into my front door. So, they had to take the front door apart. We were watching. They were not just trying to make it look like that to make more money. They were desperately trying to get the thing out and it was like 106 degrees that day. It was hot in the Houston area. I felt so bad for the guys. Then besides that, we had a hutch that was very heavy too. As a matter of fact, the one thing that got broke not badly or chipped on the edge was one of my glass shelves in the hutch. The guy was telling me not to do that because it was probably going to break. My husband and I were saying let me see and we were trying and he told us not to because it was going to break. About that time, I heard it and said I would leave it alone. I can still use it and it is a little chipped, but that was my fault. As a matter of fact, we are going to call them to help us move the furniture into the house. They were that good and we have already referred them to a personal friend and he had good luck too. We have checked around and their price was competitive and they had two men for that price. We probably should have bumped it up a pay level to have more men over, but we did not think and the person I spoke on the phone, none of us thought it was a three man job because we just had a two bedroom house. A lot of movers in the area add-on things as you get a price from them. Everything we have done with them has been great. I have no complaints. They were there fifteen minutes before they needed to be. They were very respectful. They did not take a lengthy lunch. They just wanted the thing done because it was so hot."

"We had moved a lot of our boxes ourselves the day we closed on our house.  We went from a 2 story house (master up) to another 2 story house.  We had a lot of heavy furniture that needed to be carried downstairs, so hired New Caney Movers.  I had read a lot of reviews where moving companies showed up late, so scheduled the first available appointment on Saturday.  3 men showed up and started moving and wrapping furniture.  It took a total of 4 hours and 1 trip to get everything moved into the new house where we wanted it to go.  We had to keep them moving to speed them up at times, and thankfully had my husband and a good friend there helping move and carry things.  At the end of the move, nothing was broken, and no walls were damaged, so we were pleased.

This is a very close family oriented moving company. We have been busy: you can find us on LinkedIn.com being followed by over a thousand members and look us up on Thumbtack.com with rave reviews as well . So Let's bust a move! We are running a special of $88.00 per hour for two experienced and insured movers and a truck, $100.00 per hour for three experienced and insured movers and a truck and $130.00 per hour for 4 experienced and insured movers and a truck. No minimums, no trip charge, no hassles and no jokes-no hidden fees. We deliver upon demand and we love it. Call us or e-mail us for a stress-free and simple quote.

"They came to our home and gave us a quote We thought they were very professional and liked their quote. They told us we would need 2 trucks and about 5 hours to load. The workers that came to move us were very nice young men. I didn't have a problem with them. The problem was we ended up needing 3 trucks (barely) and ended up paying $1500.00 more than the original quote because of the 3rd truck and they charge by the hour. I felt like they totally under estimated how much time it would take to load and unload. The men that were here were moving as fast as they could but I feel they were totally not reasonable when they gave us our quote. I was trusting they knew what they were doing. Had we known this, we might have chosen a different moving company. I felt we were lied to on the quote to get our business. Just be careful when paying by the hour and make sure they are giving you a reasonable quote."

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

The best ways to prepare for movers include decluttering and properly labeling boxes. Decluttering lessens the workload and ensures you are not bringing unwanted items into your new home. Labeling boxes lets movers know which rooms they belong in, reducing confusion when it's time to unpack.

Deciding whether it's worth it to hire movers depends on your budget, patience, and physical capabilities. It's difficult to gauge the amount of work that moving calls for, and it's easy to be off by about tenfold.

If you're able to call in some favors and round up friends to help, you might get through it just fine, but if you only have a few hands helping, things can quickly get overwhelming. Either way, bringing in the pros will save considerable time and stress, so if it's within your budget, it's a great investment.

No, homeowners insurance does not typically cover moving expenses. Homeowners insurance provides coverage and pay-outs if you experience damage to the home you currently live in. You’ll need to save separately for moving expenses like hiring movers, renting a tow truck, or shipping your belongings.

Around half of Americans hire professional movers, while the other half DIY their moves.

It’s rare to rent moving straps alone. Typically, you buy them outright. However, if you rent moving equipment, like loading tools or a furniture dolly, from a local or big-box business, they may come with moving straps for you to use.
