"The cost was between $1,100 and $1,300, but it was not like just for a couple of hours. They were with us for 11 to 13 hours. They were very careful. We have not got to all our furniture because it is all set up in the garage, but the things we see looks all fine. They took extra care in everything they did. They were not cheap, but they were good. They were on time. They did not dillydally around. The majority of that time was because I have a large refrigerator and they had to take it apart. Then, it still would not fit into my front door. So, they had to take the front door apart. We were watching. They were not just trying to make it look like that to make more money. They were desperately trying to get the thing out and it was like 106 degrees that day. It was hot in the Houston area. I felt so bad for the guys. Then besides that, we had a hutch that was very heavy too. As a matter of fact, the one thing that got broke not badly or chipped on the edge was one of my glass shelves in the hutch. The guy was telling me not to do that because it was probably going to break. My husband and I were saying let me see and we were trying and he told us not to because it was going to break. About that time, I heard it and said I would leave it alone. I can still use it and it is a little chipped, but that was my fault. As a matter of fact, we are going to call them to help us move the furniture into the house. They were that good and we have already referred them to a personal friend and he had good luck too. We have checked around and their price was competitive and they had two men for that price. We probably should have bumped it up a pay level to have more men over, but we did not think and the person I spoke on the phone, none of us thought it was a three man job because we just had a two bedroom house. A lot of movers in the area add-on things as you get a price from them. Everything we have done with them has been great. I have no complaints. They were there fifteen minutes before they needed to be. They were very respectful. They did not take a lengthy lunch. They just wanted the thing done because it was so hot."

"All Some Movers was very professional and called the day before my family members move to verify the price, time, and date of move. On the day of the move, the drivers called when they were 30 minutes away and arrived on time. They worked up a sweat and worked diligently to get all the items on the first floor loaded within the 2 hour time frame we requested. We purchased the deal of $170 for 2 hours of moving plus $30 for gas so $200 total. Would re-hire again for our next move."

"Although they did show up 30 minutes late, the clock for work didn't  begin until after they actually got a look at the job to be done and started moving everything. Chris ran crew very professionally, directing them while working along side them. He would catch and correct near mistakes (wall! left corner! fingers! etc )  so quickly which kept his crew safe and all of our belongings intact. Well, almost all. We were disappointed when a large office desk was dropped but we were equally impressed with Chris' handling of the situation. One thing to note was that looks are deceiving. We expected large, bulky, muscled men to show up to move our items which included an extremely heavy safe. The crew was of average size except the crew leader Chris. He's truly super model thin but when I say SUPER HUMAN  strong, I am not kidding!!!  Holy Wow! That safe I mentioned, yeah he basically pulled it up the ramp onto the truck BY HIMSELF. I am not exaggerating. My husband still tells people about "the amazing skinny mover". Not only would we recommend them but if we ever have to move again we will use New Caney Movers and request skinny Chris!

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Since mirrors are fragile, it’s important to find an experienced moving company that can properly move fragile items. You should always consider online reviews and testimonials. If you don’t know where to start, these tips to hiring the best movers can help.

The best way to find a reliable piano mover is to get a recommendation from a family member or friend. If that’s not possible, you can contact local piano movers and ask the following questions to find a reputable company:

  • How will you pack and prepare my piano for the move?

  • Do you offer a guarantee or moving insurance?

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Do I need to do any prep work before you arrive?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

You can calculate the cost of moving by evaluating your home size, the weight of your belongings, distance, and the method of moving. You’ll also want to account for moving company fees, cost of supplies, gas prices, storage fees, insurance, and more. To get the most accurate estimate for your upcoming move, get price quotes from several moving companies in your area.

This depends on your specific needs and budget. If you’re looking for the most cost-effective way to ship furniture, a self-moving service that provides pods may be your best option. If cost isn’t an issue and you’re more concerned with the security of your items, you may want to hire a white-glove furniture delivery company with ironclad insurance policies to help.

Old pianos can be hard to sell for a few reasons. Pianos fifty years or older may only sell for several hundred dollars and will often cost more to transport to the new owners. Restoring a piano also costs well into the thousands, making it pretty hard to make your money back. In most cases, donating or recycling the parts of a piano is more cost-efficient and beneficial in the long run.
